Just a side note, You may wanna make an extra brace to hold that muffler up. They seem to stress from the weight without an extra band clamp on the muffler. The only thing holding it is the mount on the header and bouncing around could stress the screws where the muffler connects to the header. Just an idea I think Scrappys sends the band clamp but not the bracket to use it. Anyway I found a solution If ya guys need it. I just hate posting links to other boards.

Thanks for the heads up on the pipe. I did think of that and made a little bracket that goes to the frame. I'll get Cory to post a pic of it. Simple but effective and free.
This scooter thing has turned into an addiction I'm afraid. It does pay off tho. My truck takes 30 bucks a week to got to work and I can ride the scoot for 3, that leaves more money for scooter's. DOH!!! I'm hooked! :scoot2:

We also did some vari tuning today. He got a 1000 contra spring sliders and clutch springs. The clutch spring were 1000 rpm and wound it too much for nothing. The sliders he got were supposed to be 5gram but were more like 4.5. Too light also. We filled them with epoxy putty and balanced them out to 6.8 grams. With the unmodded sliders it was turning about 8200 which was too high. After our mod it brought the rpms down to 7200 which is much better. The torque spring helped with a little belt slip we had and it pulls good all the way up to it's cruising speed of 40 then you can back off the throttle a little and she'll purr right along.

You should pick up a little power at higher revs. Nothing major, but a slight increase. I used the NCY cam Enviromoto sells. If you find something more aggressive you may get more of a gain? Don't forget to check piston/valve clearance to avoid the chance of having them collide thanks to greater lift or duration.

Hey NoBake, I'm still trying to decide. My girl likes riding around the neighborhood so I was thinking about a BBK for my scoot for her to ride. I'm Looking to either get a new engine for my fixxer uper or just buy a new scoot for me this summer. Depends on how much my vacation check is. I already spent the tax refund (Fricken collection companies.) Anyway I currently ride a 2010 china scoot almost Identical to Speedys And, I got a wrecked 2008 VIP similar to your Sunny in the garage that needs some lovin. Well a lot of lovn only paid 95$ Wish I had a camera Im still looking to buy a Tomos and if I find one all this will be useless

Yeah, I think your dad is on the right track moving the bracket up. Should give it a little more stability with the larger angle. Like the L8R on the back - looks clean. All of it looks really clean and professional. Diggin it.
You don't need to have the fastest scooter on the internet, just the fastest scooter in your town!

Here is an idea for you. My scooter looks just about like yours, I have a Marshin Viper. Take the hockey mask off that covers the two head lights. Drill 4 holes over top of each head light that are curved to go around the headlight, install a white LED in each hole, now you will also need to add a resistor in with each pair of LED's a 22k for each pair will work. Now when you turn the headlights on at night it will look like the scooter has eyes and the LED's will look like eyebrows. Install the hockey mask back on.

Look forward to seeing it. Remember to use a 22k resistor for every two LED's and only use the white ones.

a while back i beleave i said something bout it getting 60 miles to the gallon but i just went out today filled it up, and rode 18 miles on it and when i refilled it it only took .19 gallons to fill it up so it looks like with regular running and wutnot (WOT somwtimes and just keeping speed limit others) it gets bout 94 mpg!!!!!
