Hey everyone, I just got my first scoot! That being said...it's not the coolest of scoots but, it's cool enough to get me on the road and comfortable with riding...with not a whole lot of money out of the box...yet anyways lol. So I'm starting a build to keep up with my adventures and upgrades. 2016 TaoTao Atm50-A1 So far I have only: Swapped bulbs with leds...minus the brake and flashers Changed the oil to Rotella T4 15w40 Lucas Synthetic gear oil 75w90 Futre list...not too long but: Add a usb accessory socket New Cdi Spark plug Exhaust ...and some other odds and ends  |

Not impressed with the headlight! The color temp is way off, it's supposed to 6k...but look More like 5k.  |

Still, is an improvement in road visibility? I haven't had a chance to get it out at night yet to see the beam pattern. I would like to do a comparison between the 2 to find out which has better road visibility. Appreciate your attention to detail. Please keep updating. Thanks man! |

Your right, bottom light looks like 6k maybe 8k top one looks like 5k.
Good pics, good build thread. There's something special about buying a new taotao atm50 and modding it. I'd like to build a taotao one day.

Right now I'm waiting at the DMV to register it...I'm number b233 and they are on b222...so I'm gonna be here a while lol. |

I got everything taken care of! Titled, registered, and inspected! I drove it for the first time in the road and I love it!!! I hit 40mph a couple times on a straight stretch, but mostly I was topping out at 35mph, now up hill...that's a different story! I was hitting 30mph at best.
So what can I do to get more torque?
