Well bummer summer! I bought the valve stems that admin said to get, I'm not sure if I over tightened it or what. When I got it in, the stem seemed too loose so I torqued it down to where it was snug. I've lost about 6psi since this afternoon.

Yeah those really dont need a lot of torque, just enough to hold the rubber in place especially inside the rim. If you ever pulled a regular rubber stem in place, its just a slight pop to seat it, the tire air pressure holds the seal. So as long as the nuts hold the rubber seal on the rim, it should sit fine. Don't need to torque it

Congrats! Thanks Brent! I almost didn't pass because my scoot couldn't get up to speed on the exercise where you have to slam on your brakes and come to a safe stop...the ol taotao just wasn't fast enough which hurt my time...significantly and cost me 5 points. I told my wife it was time to step up my cc's to a 150...then a 250...then a 600...Lol that didn't go so well!

At least they let you use the 50. Can't use 'em here. Just step all the way up to 250 or larger. 150 sucks as a motorcycle IMO, unless you just want it for around town. I had one, that's what I took my skills test on. If you want something that will serve all purposes, something like a 400 Burgman would be good. If you wanna go faster, TMAX 530, Burgman 650 and scoots like that will work. They aren't super powerful like sport bikes with comparable displacement. My TMAX 500 makes low 40s HP and take ~9 sec 0-60. They have enough power to get you in trouble for sure, and I can have a lot of fun with the TMAX on twisties, but they aren't accidental wheelie popping, tire spinning, 200MPH machines. Straight line performance is basically like the family sedan. They'll feel heavy, especially if you're mostly used to 10" wheels, but you can get used to that quick... till you need to back it up a hill.

The lady had to go back inside to make sure my scoot didn't need hazard lights so she could pass it for the test. There was another guy with us who had a 2009 yamaha 1900cc that didn't have hazards and she failed his bike... He was so mad!!! He sat there and watched while me and the another took our tests...I felt bad for the guy...and on their other hand I didn't...lol mainly because they scheduled all of us at 10 am to take it and I showed up at 9:30am along with the other guy...who actually got to take his test...we waited for 2 hours looking as our numbers were passed up, when this guy walks in...gets a number and walks straight up to the driver service desk like he owned the place lol. They took all of his info, then came and got us and said...now that the third guy that we scheduled showed up we can take all of you out for your test......WHAT!!!!! We were both pretty butt hurt over the ordeal...especially when we got out there and she failed his bike lol!!! We both spent a total of 6 hours at the DMV lol.
I think I would like a yamaha zuma or one of those bws 150cc What I would really like is my neighbors bike lol I'm not sure what it is or how many cc but dang it's sweet! There's been a burgman 600 on CL in my area for sometime now, they are sweet looking rigs.

dont get a burgman unless its 400cc or less. the 600 and 650's are just not worth it, especially if it needs work. the engines and transmissions on the 600 and 650 burgman are waaaay too complicated and in my mind, its just not a well thought out design, especially since that only around 65% of the actually engine power makes it to the rear wheel. here are a couple of pictures to illistrate my point. engine. swingarm

Orrrr... get a 2t and learn some engine tuning, you'd have a good 50-60mph machine for half the cost of a decent burgman

Giving this xenon headlight a shot. My led bulb failed within 2 months of riding. Someone told me it was because of the constant high rpm's and....something that I can't remember what it's called lol. I put the xenon in and I'm a little disappointed in the color temp, it was supposed to be around 6k but it's more like a very bright 4300k. I've got a problem with these eBay sellers and the false Kelvin they advertise lol.

Took the scoot out for a country cruise today, about halfway through my ride I pull over to let some cars go by when... putt putt putt...dead! My battery had died...thank goodness for the kick start. When I got back home I put my battery on the charger for about 4 hours, and nothing! I'm not sure if I charged it on the wrong voltage or not, I charged it on 6v...
I'm gonna try tomorrow to charge it on 12v but if I still can't get anything out of it does anyone have a recommendation for a bigger...better battery?
