Any 12v battery should always be charged with a 12v source. The 6v chargers will only charge a battery to its intended 6v.

Not a problem. Glad that resolved your issue.

Took the scoot on probably it's final ride before winter. Just wondering what I should to winterize it, as it lives in a 8×10 metal shed with no heat. Should I take the battery out and store it indoors until spring? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone!

Take the battery inside, drain the gas from the tank and the carburetor. Check and/or change the engine oil depending on what condition it's in. That should be about it.

I only have about 180 miles on the oil. I'm not sure where the gas line is but I will figure it out if not I will check to see if Brent has a vid on it.

OK. Original equipment. You'll probably have to remove at least the bucket seat to get to it. Also, while you're in there you might as well switch to a manual fuel petcock. Like you said, there are walk-through abound here. Have fun. Keep it safe and reliable, and scoot on.

Well it saddens me to say this, but I sold my scoot yesterday. It was a great starter bike but I will need something a little faster. So I will hang it up until the spring and see if I can find a 150cc.
Thank you all for everything, and all the help!
