That would do very little most likely. A different carb is nice if yours lacks adjustability. Mine didn't have an adjustable needle and they aren't so universal that you can order any needle and it fits so I replaced the carb to get rid of a sputter that the adjustments I could do didn't fix. I don't expect much from the open air filter. The CDI may or may not help. There's a free mod to adjust timing that's not really difficult that I used instead. I stuck with the stock coil after trying an aftermarket coil. This video covers a lot of what's mentioned, and should show you why I say that stuff : www.youtube.com/watch?v=p63JXW29tVoI would try sliders and carb tuning before a kit like that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5j8gHg5kMcHere's something to look over when considering doing the BBK : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/350/big-bore-kit-installationThis may be a little off-topic, but I have to say it. I personally wouldn't buy anything from Jeremy Vinup. If you look around the forum, you should find that I don't talk trash about sellers very often. I've never bought a thing from him and wouldn't on principle. From what I gather through watching some of his videos and on his site, he is the taking the Home Shopping Network or QVC or infomercial approach to sales of scooter parts. Everything is a sales pitch. He claims you're learning in some vids, but you're mostly learning that shiny parts with cool names are good. Some of his info is correct, some of it is not, but he's always trying to sell you something. I guess that's business, but I'm not a fan. I would guess that he buys the same stuff you can find on eBay and amazon cheaper, gives them fancy names like Superflow so you think it's not cheap Chinese or Taiwan stuff, and then marks them up a lot. It saddens me that his approach is so effective and that anyone can make good money claiming that simple upgrades get you big gains.

90gtvert is right that jeremy dudes full of himself. he says that the 1st thing you need is an open filter, imo and others will tell you too that filter is the last thing you need. most people with upgraded motors skip over that mod all altogether. from what my local parts supplier tells, that casoli cdi is junk. he sells them too for $30 but when i picked it up he said nah i wont sell you that and handed me the $5 orange one. if you want a coil and cdi shop around and you can getthe orang cdi for $5-10 and the orange coil too, the bbk is your best friend. i watched 90s video one time and went out and threw mine on in no time. good luck with whatever you decide

Thanks guys for all your help. I think I will just rock it stock for a little while and see how it does in town. I can't see putting any money into something that isn't gonna change the way it performs.
I also got that QVC "but wait...there more!!!" vibe from j&j's youtube vids lol.

Road the scoot to work this morning for the first time. I hit around 40mph just about the whole time on my ride. I noticed the front wheel most certainly needs balanced. So I'm picking up a metal rod so I can build a balancer. I'm gonna try and get that done along with new valve stems this weekend.

I like that flat black stealth look. You might try some CVT tuning to help with the hills.

Its all trial and error. Get some tuning rollers and just work you way down. The clutch tuning takes a little more work but may not be necessary.

So when I walked outside to leave work I noticed that inside of my gauge cluster there is an oil build up of some sort. I parked my scoot in the sun...so I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it but, Does anyone know what could be causing it or what it is?

Check for leaks in your brake master cylinder. That's my guess anyways...

It's usually attached to one of the brake levers. If it's leaking it could possibly run down some wires or something else and work it's way into your cluster.
