A company called "Sparkys" has ads. Could not find them web-wise. This might be it? spunkys.cart.fc2.comYes, that's it! I am old...Sparky's, Spanky's Spunky's. They ship to Thai, should ship anywhere. Do look around. Either Tsimi can find something cheaper or I may be able to. If you are in NZ, the shipping should be reasonable.

I overlooked a parts supplier you can tap. Scootling in NZ carries a few parts for Gyro's. I bought a few things from them. They do not always have items in stock, though their website says they do. WeBike Thailand is OK pricing. Great shipping, even if drop shipped from Japan or China or?? The site is not easy to navigate...try looking for "Honda" then find "Honda 50cc". Look at all Gyro categories. May be the same as Japan Webike. One year ago those wheels were just under $340 NZD for a pair. I will ask around here. those work well but may still need a spacer. thai.webike.net/thai-parts/?lang=en

Regarding the Japanese Gyro modifications. There are many cool ones and strong power! I have had contact with a few builders there. Many are "hybrid" mixes of newer Dio (12mm piston pin) and other changes, like water cooled cylinders and such. That would require both case welding and bigger parts spending.
Though not afraid of such things, I am more a fan of creating usable power from bolt on parts and good quality tuning. If I ever decide to go high HP...I will go to a Honda CR80R or CR85R and an ATV rear drive. 18 to 20 hp stock. Six speed and wheely Gyro would be scary fun! CR80 engine on ebay about $500, air cooled. Modified Gyro/Dio/water pumper...about 15 hp and near $1600+ cooling, plus a lot of work.

I'm not a huge fan of scootling's prices, I have brought a few things from them and also checked out there store in person back in May, but the only Gyro specific 70cc kit I'm finding is a Malossi sport from them, strangely the Malossi part number they list when Googled only shows there page. Also the kit comes with a bigger MJ for the stock carb, yet (on mine at least) the main jet isn't a changeable part lol. Main things I want to sort to start with though is wheels and tyres and to get the plastics tidied up ready for paint. The last 3 days when I've tried to start the Gyro it's taken a hit of either to get it fired up, and the idle has been a bit hit and miss with a bit of a lean hang etc, since it's now road legal I figured it was time to fix it up. Stripped the stock carb and gave it a proper scrub out, the idle circuit was filthy and the auto enrichment jet and another air hole were blocked solid. Factory carb is about 14mm, and has fixed jetting, so besides the idle mixture there is 0 tuning options, even the needle height is fixed, going to replace the carb when I do the cylinder, but it would have been nice to be able to upjet if I sort out a pipe before then/might keen an eye out for a cheap Dio carb as a temp upgrade or attempt to upgrade to a stock 16mm from a Suzuki. While I was cleaning the carb I drained the ancient 2t oil and then added a litre of full syn Total Now it fires up instantly, runs smooth and has gain another 6k on the top end, so max is 51kph now lol. Took it down to a local automotive parts place I frequent and got a new battery, tail light bulb and fuel line, the manager seemed to love it "it's so ugly it's amazing!" "It's like an AW11 MR2, so odd looking it's cool!" Scavenged a bit of SS welding rod and made a latch pin to keep the battery cover on, little bit nicer than the duct tape that was on it lol. Just in an hour blatting around town I counted 2 point and laughs, at least 3 "WTF is that?!" looks and multiple thumbs up haha. So yeah rear brake cable, wheels and better plastics are first on the list of things to find.

tsimi is there any chance you could email or call Spunky's spunkys.cart.fc2.com/laws and ask about international shipping? I'm looking at there site with Chrome and I can only find shipping in Japan and the only payment option seems to be cash on delivery. Have been put onto a couple Thai sites that may be able to help too, just waiting to hear back. Looking on Spunky I will need spacers, as mine is a very early chassis number it is apparently 70mm narrower than later ones?

RaizerJust called them. They don't ship or deal directly to foreign countries. If you need something from them then you'll have to go most likely through me or someone that lives over here.

tsimi I think I'll end up taking you up on that offer, thanks!! I'm waiting to hear back from a guy in Thailand about a second hand pair first. Also I need to pull a wheel and the CVT cover off and measure a few things, cause if it's OK with you I'll likely be after a few small bits that could be packaged in the dish of the wheels. Just need to see if I've got a 12mm or 14mm crank etc.

Haha! Off and running! I am positive you can find a carb cheap enough. I went with a 19mm directly, but have a better ignition and running advance at 20 degrees. If you want better, but simpler performance, a 17.5mm carb is tunable on a stocker.
We are soon going to play with our exhaust designs and diaphragm carbs. Cheap here, so we will try. If they idle, we know we can give power with the high circuits.

I'm thinking the spare 16mm Keihin I've got from one of the Suzuki's will be a good upgrade for the stock cylinder. The Suzuki uses the same mounting flange as the Honda carb and it looks like it'll fit the airbox and throttle cable. I've already got a range of jets etc. Pipe wise I've been thinking something like this I've got a stage6 that's already been chopped and welded to fit Morini, so another couple cuts and an extra bit of head pipe should get it onto the Gyro... I've still not heard back from the guy with multiple parts bikes yet, really want to get decent plastics and stuff organised ASAP!

Thanks to Yahoo Japan blogs I'm finding more and more places that specialise in custom Gyro parts, but there's not many that ship outside of Japan. Try searching on Yahoo Auctions Japan. You'll have to register to buy. There is a middle man service called Buyee that deals with international buyers. They will have the parts shipped to their warehouse and then shipped to you. They'll combine packages, and add extra packaging for fragile pieces as well (costs extra).

Gyro wouldn't start again this AM and the carb had weeped almost a litre of gas overnight (the inside is spotless, the outside I just gave a quick blast with degreaser and called it good enough ha!) So I figured I might as well swap on the Suzuki carb I've got floating around since it would be an upgrade in multiple ways. PWS looks like it should swap in place of the PA right? I thought yesterday that the choke looked a bit odd, but didn't really pay it too much attention. As it turns out someone had broken it in the past and used a piece of steel rod to jam it hard closed, would explain why it will not start cold without a squirt of engine start. Fail. The Suzuki's carb is way to wide around the float bowl to fit in the gap. I have come across a Keihin PB carb from a Dio that I'm trying to make a deal on, they apparently are a favoured upgrade for the Gyro X in Japan. But do I pay $65 for the stock Dio carb as a temp fix, or $160 for a new PHVA 17.5mm that may not be big enough if I end up with a wild cylinder/pipe combo in the future? Edit: I've just been given a Keihin PB from an AF18 Dio by a member of a local moped and scooter club!

I overlooked a parts supplier you can tap. Scootling in NZ carries a few parts for Gyro's. Figured out that if I removed a couple letters from the product code Scootling list the Gyro Malossi cylinder kit as, it shows up online, Malossi 316170. It's listed as a Gyro X kit on most sites Inc WeBike Japan, a few also say it's suitable for Honda Vision SA50 AF29, Lead NH50 AF01, pre 96 Honda SH50 and Puegot SC50 Metropolis as well. NZ$370 delivered to me from Scootling. NZ$253 delivered to me from treatland in the USA www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=malossi-gyro-kit-31-6170Edit: better yet, NZ$162 shipped from racing planet in Germany! So for the price of just the cylinder here in NZ, I can get the cylinder and a 17.5mm PHVA

The rear brake cable had been snapped off right by the lever, so tonight I set about sorting it out. First mission was the delicate task of removing the brittle front plastics. Took an old Suzuki front cable and cut the hub end off, then mucked around getting the length about right before crimping and soldering a lug on. Next was setting the brakes at the hub, got one fairly close and found one brake lever was very stiff, pulled the wheel off and made a horrible discovery 3x75mm pcd hubs with 95mm ID drums. That's pretty much killed the build for now, mine is an early model chassis: TD01-102xxx, I can't find anything aftermarket for anything before "medium term" TD01-120xxx, 140xxx, 150xxx and "late term" TD01-200xxx on. Currently searching Yahoo auctions Japan, Google, Facebook for a pair of these hubs! WeBike list the same shoes for Gyro X 82-02, so the drum should be the same, knowing my luck the splines changed though. Also my AC circuit lights have pretty much stopped working, only getting a faint orange glow from the park light and that's it. Multimeter shows it's only making 2.1V AC at idle up to 2.4 at the point the clutch engages. Edit: tsimi I think I might have to get you to price up shipping on a pair of those wheels/tyres and a pair of hubs, there's a few pairs on Yahoo for various prices, I just need to check my spline count before committing to anything. Edit 2: Check out the width differences in the different "terms" This is a mid term, a fair bit wider than my early one auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/dr271/auc0305/users/6/7/4/7/saki_2_0527-imgbatch_1495837519/600x450-2017052700416.jpgThen there's the late term one which is way wider again! auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/dr524/auc0305/users/6/7/4/7/saki_2_0527-imgbatch_1496057938/600x450-2017052900431.jpg
