Btw I bet your motor is listed as a af29 which is a Honda vision motor, same as a Honda aero or tact or elite with an af05 (variated version not spree/smile version)
What bbk are you running?

I'd run it as is and do a plug chop or 3. I bet its rich, but like I said a little rich is safe! Will give it a go, but I don't think running it like it is is an option really, that smoke when I fired it up smelt like pure petrol! What bbk are you running? Malossi m.316170 "for Honda Lead, SH50 and Peugeot Metropolis" Japanese parts sites and a New Zealand shop advertise it as for Gyro.

That pipe looks like it would do well with a 100+cc build(hint-hint)...

The quick way to tune is to fire it up cold, no Choke. It shouldn't start cold w/o the choke, but start on the first or second kick on choke, then get real muddy real fast until you shut off the choke. All my bikes will load up and get rich if I let it idle to long. It should smoke like crazy cold then clear up a bit when warm imo.
Also I think your area is warmer than mine (Seattle) so maybe you need leaner jetting than me.

The brown one I've been working on for a mate is almost finished, ended up doing the top end rebuild, made an exhaust from scrap, made a full wiring loom for it from scratch and reassembled it all. Haven't done anything else to mine yet as I have been way too busy But I did give it a kick tonight, no choke it fired up first kick. Blowing raw gas vapour out the pipe still. Mixture screw doesnt seem to do anything until it's wound way way out or just about right in. Hope to have time to do something with it tomorrow! 190mech hmmm the other popular hybrid engine for these in Japan is Lead 80 and Lead 125 conversions...

Sorry I've been away from the forum so long, I gave up on trying to sort out clutch springs for my Suzuki at the beginning of winter and haven't done anything scooter related since But that changed today! I picked up 2 trailer loads of Honda powered toys this morning, inc a couple go karts, 85 ATC125M and most relevant to the forum this beast Running the plate it seems to be a 1990 Honda Gyro X, 49cc with the correct amount of strokes, worryingly it looks like it was registered as a motorcycle rather than a moped, so hopefully I can get it on a moped rego!! It only needed fresh gas and a jump start to get going, so we gave it a half ass wash and I took off on a test ride, got 5k from home when it died on me and then would only run at less than 1/4 throttle, managed to ride it home feathering the throttle at a blistering 7kph ha. All signs pointed to a blocked main jet, at least with the stock clutch it would move under its own power unlike the time I had to push my Suzuki home. Quick squirt of carb cleaner and it was away again, it's a real laugh to ride, nothing like my 2 wheeled Suzukis! It only tops out at 45k but man it feels like it's flying and yeah I think I'm in love. Got several thumbs up from random people too haha. I'm going to go done on Monday and attempt to register it as a scooter, if I can't get it changed from motorcycle it'll be a tidy up and on sell project as I don't have a bike license and the rego costs + 6 month safety inspections are $$$. If luck is on my side I'm thinking something like a 70cc kit, big carb, custom pipe, 12x10 or 10x8 ATV rims from eBay with stretched scooter tyres on the back, 10" or 12" Dio or Ruckus front end with disk brake etc, the stock 8" front 6" rear wheels with tiny drums leave a lot to be desired! Something like these but knowing me rougher and cheaper They seem to have a bit of a following in Japan, I'm struggaling to find much info on what parts fit and what size wheel/tyre combos people run. tsimi do you ever see any around?

Hello!
I'm fromHungary, and I have a question with lsd unit. I have to take off rear axle but I removed the lsd clutch plates But I can't remove the all thing from axle. Anybody can suggest something? Or can give a picture only rear axle removed to see what is under Lsd end side. Thanks

I take off a special screw from middle but there is an other thread in the picture Inside of the inner ring.It has nothing function during dissasembly until this time. I don't want to damage that parts with forced take off.

I would guess the pilot is way rich or the choke circuit is leaking a little. Do you have a jet drill set? I'd check the pilot jet and see what number it is. Also, I'd check the main jet out too. Maybe your airbox is working well enough to create a good vacuum and it's running better than mine w a unifilter haha.

35 pilot, jet drills pretty much confirm it. I'm confident the main is way too big!
The airbox makes a huge difference to noise at the very least. Have had a few guys in a Gyro group in Japan tell me the airbox used to be sold as a Kitaco Bomber and were super popular for Gyro and Dios 20 years ago lol.
Throttle response is insane with this carb, even rich as it is it instantly reacts to the slightest pull on the throttle cable.

Wouldn't move with the 120mj, just blew clouds of eye burning gas vapour. Dropped to a 100mj, vapour clouds starting to clear up, still woudn't move. Dropped to a 94mj Didn't realize the camera was too low at the end, was trying to show the petrol flowing through the hose to the powerjet, it sure looks to be making enough vacuum to draw gas!! Was amazed to see how cold the intake is too, it's warm and humid here, after a short run the carb and manifold is super cold and covered in condensation! Going to drop it a couple sizes again soon, just got a few other jobs I have to get done first
