What does the plug look like after runs like that?
If this is being wildly inconsistent, I’d look into crank seals.

35 pilot jet, right? Man. Try removing the air filter real quick and see how it runs (it shouldn't) and maybe check the choke circuit for leakage.

My s6 pwk used to get ice on the bowl in the fall haha.

What does the plug look like after runs like that? If this is being wildly inconsistent, I’d look into crank seals. Super wet plug. I'm fairly confident the crank seals are ok, but I have got another couple coming from Honda to have spare. 35 pilot jet, right? Man. Try removing the air filter real quick and see how it runs (it shouldn't) and maybe check the choke circuit for leakage. Dropped to a 90mj, picked up a lot but still a bit 4strokey/gurgling and I noticed a weird pulsing like it was cutting out. Tried blocking off the line to the power jet and it made 0 difference, then my air filter came off going over a bump in my yard which was interesting to say the least... Going to hook up the throttle and powerjet after dinner

LoL Yes PLEASE attach that throttle cable. I was laughing at the same time worry that something is gonna go wrong with you pulling that cable and at the same time handling the scoot.
She really started to pull hard when you removed the filter. Alternative, no filter and very large jets? Like the HPLogic guy did on his Strada 2Fast build.

The airbox is way to restrictive. Is there a place where you can 'tune' it? Like places where you can drill holes or knock out blanks? If not, throw a unifilter on it and do some plug chops haha. A foam air filter from China is like $5, I'd go with that or a uni and just jet it for a open foam filter.

Careful tho, the 90mj might be lean with no filter. Oh, and try the 'start it cold' trick w no filter and see if the choke makes a difference now.

Yeah a touch lean with the 90, but not far off! Think the 30 powerjet helps though! Searching for a Uni or similar in NZ now! Pilot is a touch lean too, slight hang there, have bigger ones here but am waiting for the filter before I do anything else.
Was a slight electrical miss there too at first but it seemed to go away, watch the tacho just after I pulled the filter, think the Naraku CDI isn't the best thing out there haha!

LoL you are crazy! That was a bit too long WOT without a filter. Get yourself a Stage6 bell mouth and try a larger main jet. No filter = Or as benji said get a foam filter like UNI or something similar and play with the jets around again.

Longest I've ever ran a scooter I care about without a filter to be honest! Sounded pretty healthy to me though, just a touch lean.
Can't imagine how that kart filter box is meant to provide enough air for a high power racing kart engine if it can't even keep up with mine! And yeah I tried a range of different jets before discovering it runs better without the box, but for a 35 pilot to be so epically rich there mush have been a huge amount of choking going on right? Wonder if that was part of the issue with my old carb, the stock inlet and airbox were just too restrictive?

Go to the store, grab some womens stocking slippers (I dont know what they are actually called, it stocking, but its like a slipper) fire that over the end of the carb and zip tie it on. Tune away. If you stretch it out it's almost non existent and it keeps the big smut away.
Depending on filter choice it makes you rich for a filter though.

I like the track around your yard. Watching you with the cable navigating with out hitting anything was worth the watch.

Seemed to be the only 50mm filter in town!

I thought it was a 44mm-48mm input size, I'm gonna have to see if the new one I got fits mine haha. I got a new one waiting for mine like that, a 30° angle version.

On my s6 21mm I used a 70mm bell mouth w a uni filter strapped on the end of the bell. Seemed to work nice. On my first bbk install, I used that s6 21mm pwk and the bell mouth w no filter, and sucked a 6mm nut into the case past the reeds into the crank wheel zone. The crank forced it out the aluminum case like a contusion. Lasted like 15 mins haha.
