I drive the twin all over with no filters... and my corolla with ITB's is open stacks.. and the Dio... ahahah
If i'm doing a long haul I throw the filters on the scooters, but the car I never have...
I'm not saying it's smart tho.

On my first bbk install, I used that s6 21mm pwk and the bell mouth w no filter, and sucked a 6mm nut into the case past the reeds into the crank wheel zone. The crank forced it out the aluminum case like a contusion. Lasted like 15 mins haha. Holy shit! You serious?! Man that must have hurt. What are the chances of sucking in a bolt. LoL Well I shall reconsider to drive without airfilter on my future LC build.

Ya, they make bellmouths with a screen filter on it to stop that from happening. Mine didn't have that :/. I'll have to find a pic.
I was pretty upset with myself haha. I was doing a burnout when it happened. Motor just locked up. Took it home and tore it down to inspect and didn't find anything til a I looked at the front of the motor by the oil pump. Big ass cracked off peice still loose on the case with a nut behind it. Ordered up a dj-1 motor to replace it, and that one cracked the motor mount tab off while I was riding haha.

I thought it was a 44mm-48mm input size, I'm gonna have to see if the new one I got fits mine haha. I got a new one waiting for mine like that, a 30° angle version. Listed as 49mm, the Uni is a little loose but there is more than enough give to tighten it up nice and snug. With the filter it now won't start cold with the filter on and choke off, well it tries but dies straight away. Choke on it fires right up. Not getting any real;y noticeable lean hang any more with the 35sj, still need to swap out the rollers to something a bit heavier and try it out on the road again with a couple sizes larger mj. Am absolutely loving how responsive this carb/engine is though!! Look how restrictive this thing actually was Once you account the crosses of plastic that stop the foam discs getting sucked into the engine there really isn't much room left for air!

I would still bump up to a 40 sj, just to see how she runs. And do plug chops! I like rich, I'm afraid of lean!! Lean is fast tho. My spree-a-relli was a hot rod with an 85mj and Athena race pipe haha! It would heat-seize after more than a couple minutes at wot tho.
Dammit those unis look good haha.

Are you premixing? If so remember the oil leans out the mix.

Are you premixing? If so remember the oil leans out the mix. Running a modified oil pump on it. Going to swap in a 40pilot and try a bigger main tomorrow hopefully, need to get it loaded in my van tomorrow night! Pulled the cover off the CVT, this is with 5.5g rollers: Fitted the 7g Malossi ones that came with the kit, didn't ride it to test though as the shrouds were all off the engine as I'd painted them. While Aaron was washing it I oiled the Uni filter and then ditched the ugly pink breather lines Notice I vented the clutch cover, the bell had been slightly rubbing it a touch (I'd sprayed black paint inside to check) so I tried to grind a touch more clearance. Turns out these covers are super thin around the front of the clutch section and since I ground right through in seconds I figured I might as well just go ahead and cut it!

Annnd all the rear pretty much had to come back off! Stupid tap had decided it wanted to leak fuel everywhere, there in a prick of a spot too! Flipping it the bird and throwing it aside in disgust came back to bite me in the ass! Sat on it when I went to hook the brakes up lol lol The wheels man don't forget to put on those shinny shoes! Have got a 94mj and 38 pilot in there, hope to get a few tests in before the ride on Saturday! At least it's quick to swap jets with the PWK now

WOW that thing looks good with those wheels! I like the case on the back as a trunk! Nice scooter mount in the van too! I think you can get an on/off/reserve tap in n that style but not sure. Check racing planet, then Amazon cuz there cheaper and better shipping haha.

Cheers man!
It's an odd ball tap, it's got a weird fitting where a 2" long tap handle attaches. I'm lucky that the Canopy converted one had a good tap to borrow!

Need a better rear shock asap!! With the filter oiled it's running really well with the 90mj back in it! Think I must have over done it with the filter oil, test ride with the 94mj was a gurgling mess, swapped back to the 90mj and it stayed nasty for a couple minutes then cleared up. Was pointed out to me later it was blowing a lot of oil smoke until it cleared so yeah think it was filter oil. 7g rollers has raised the top speed to 67k @ just under 10,000rpm, I am sure there's more in it though! Have some 8g to swap in, otherwise I'll never to find a lighter contra spring somewhere
