Thai Papaya salad. Hot enough I may regret it....later!  As soon as I saw this I could hardly wait for this moment. Some, what, 6 weeks later? Great inspiration, thanks oldgeek! So, papaya salad before you actually do anything with it.... (hopefully I have gumption/ambition to make it happen 2nite, "wheel" see... !) Gonna roast me own peanuts too... hehe next time i am pissed off at someone i will roast their peanuts  |

Uhm. Forgot the Mortar and pestol. That certainly counts. Tickets to Thailand, anyone?
Edit: As much as a great trip that is, pretty sure there is a pot/pesto in town..

Got it. This turned out awesome. Such immense flavors, Thai chilies garlic palm sugar lime.... definitely going on my regular Thai cooking list!   |

In keeping with the mortar & pestle theme... Thai Larb Moo - "pork salad" (not another can o' "pork soda!" haha)  Dry-roasted rice pounded to a coarse powder  Add lots of spicy...  Always reminds me of an Asian taco, or their interpretation of one  |

If I'm in a situation of eating MRE's the last thing I want is any kind of heat. Too big a chance of it running down my legs. I'd take some spagetti or "meat loaf", even if its bland as hell. |
