Oh boy oh boy, this is gettin good already . LOL your Triton is in the corner looking jealous . Thats a good amount of parts for the money spent . Same little crappy steal wheels i got, mine dont have that small of tire though, or tubes. Good call on getting that crap off. DANGEROUS . Good job on the frame, bars and wheel paint, lookin good so far. I would like to get a four someday myself to play around with.

I'm not really saying "screw the budget" Bob. This is coming out of money I had saved to get the Mustang re-tuned, so it'll be sitting a little longer. If I wasn't worried about budget those cases would be split, main bearings upgraded, 80cc kit (or maybe a long case 139qmb for 12 inch wheels, if they make 'em?), new carb and intake, variator and rollers, clutch, cvt cover, new front suspension, front disc brake, recovered seat, aftermarket exhaust, new headlight housing, better controls, and the list could go on and on. I think the 70cc kit is nearly essential if my father wants to ride with me. I'm not a big fan of holding up traffic leaving red lights and topping out at 30-35MPH. I'm still trying to watch the budget, but I'm not going to put together some crappy scooter with messed up parts if I can help it. Especially since my father is an inexperienced rider. More money added... - 2 Cans Black Laquer - 1 Can Rusty Metal Primer - 2 Cans Fusion Gloss Black Paint - 2 Cans Fusion Satin Gray Paint - Paint/Rust Remover Disc - 3 Quarts Rotella 15W40 Oil $44.97 That puts me up to $337.84. I still need to get gear oil and some signal and brake light bulbs locally. I gotta place an order with Roketa that I suspect will be in the neighborhood of $100. Needs a battery. And then are certainly some odds and ends beyond that. I guess it'll end up a bit over $500. More than I wanted to spend by a long shot, but not too bad for a 72cc scoot with new paint on basically everything, a complete frame-up PDI, etc...

And the budget goes farther out the window...
- 4 Turn Signal Bulbs - 2 Brake/Tail Bulbs - Battery - 1 Brake Caliper Paint - Mobil 1 Gear Oil - Pack of 1A Fuses $95.33
I forgot how much simple little stuff has gone up to. This thing will nickel and dime me to death if nothing else. New total is $433.17
I bought the caliper paint to do another coat on the wheels (I only had enough left over for 1 coat each). I coated them again and the paint bubbled and cracked. I was a bit angry.

Wow. Doing things right sucks sometimes... Roketa.Com - Front Fairing - Kickstand Spring And Bolt - Lock Set - Front Steering Bearings And Fastener Set $148.00 So much for $500... $581.17... nearly double my original budget with more to go. Holy crap, I coulda picked up a brand new retro 49cc from GSMotorworks for $850. I'll be into the $600 range after I find front wheel bearings, a bicycle speedo, bar end mirrors, valve stems, and some jets. How do I get myself into this stuff? I'm gonna go ride my last cheap scooter turned money pit and forget everything for a few lol.
