T/Y for the Fusion review, i was thinking about buying some to paint Skeedr with this winter, now im not so much. The Sun is coming along great ! Weather its perfect or not, its gonna look better black thats for sure . I agree with the look of retro scoots. I think yours is gonna be ok though, you got good taste and anything looks better black . So your pop is really going to ride with ya on this one huh? I remember reading that was your intent with your second triton. That would be sweet to go out cruising the scoots with dad. My pop would ride with me but he is 100miles south of me .

Yeah, Dad's looking forward to it. I told him he could try taking it to work if he wants. He gave me $150 toward it whether I wanted it or not lol. I told him one thing he needs to do before riding is get a helmet. He said he could wear mine, but A)I'd have no helmet and B)mine's a few years old and the padding is worn to fit my head, not his. He's supposed to try some helmets on to see what he likes sometime in the next week or so.
I found a small panel that I forgot to paint. It's the one that covers the VIN on the front fairing. I tried spraying it so heavy that it would run and it still looks dull.

Wet sand. Buff. Still see spray lines. Break panels in half... I think I'd be better off to leave 'em alone. I didn't get much else done to the retro 'cause I was working on the other. I did at least cut a few wires out of the wiring harness and wrap it in fresh electrical tape.

My father took my scoot out for a spin this morning and I followed him in the truck. I think I'm gonna have to find some of those cheap little cones and take him out to a parking lot for some practice once the other scoot is going. He does alright, but he could use some confidence turning. I think some time in a parking lot with some weaving and practicing drving straight at walking speeds would do him a lot of good.
He picked up an HJC CS-R1 in black to match his scoot and a pair of mesh gloves for the summer. Now if I can just get some parts in to get this thing going. So far all that has arrived is the bicycle speedometer, which is one of the last things I'll install. lol Figures.

Never saw that, but I wouldn't have ordered it anyway. Way outta my price range for now. That should be an 80cc kit, which I keep hearing has bearing issues. If that's true, their complete kit should include a decent set of main bearings. I'm happy with the $100 72cc kit that includes head, cylinder, piston etc..., oil pump, gaskets, and roller weights. I added 2000RPM clutch springs, a 1000RPM contra spring, and a 1500RPM contra spring for another $27. I've already got some 16x13 rollers around. I would imagine it will be a nice improvement over a stock 49cc at least. Oh and a few bucks for jets. Not bad for under $150.

Just thought I would call your attention to it. Didn't really figure it would fit your bill.
