I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more scooters.

Oh, if I had the money there would be a scooter shop and some commercials with me in oversized cowboy hats calling myself Tex with big bright $999's flying in and out of the screen to and fro. Add some cheesy western music and kick the volume up so it damages your hearing even when the volume's low on the tv.
If you've got a job and $99, you're approved. If you've got no job and $999, you're approved.

Can you imagine a big ass Caddy(pearl white with blacked out windows) pulling up to ya at a light honking a little scooter horn. That would be priceless! I think i have next years April fools joke lined up.

lol Nice. I've added a big horn to a scoot, never even crossed my mi9nd to put the baby horn on a car. Then again, it doesn't sound that safe either.

Sanded down the front suspension, cut out the brackets I won't need since I'm not gonna use the front fender or suspension covers, and painted. Knocked the rust off of the stock exhaust, cut it apart, modified it, welded it back together, and painted it. I don't really like the way the luggage rack sticks out on these scoots. I thought it would look better without it, but I still wanted something to help pull it up on the center stand. I chopped off most of the rack and just left a handle then painted it. I got the stickers and badges off of the body panels I'm keeping and washed 'em. I'll still need to sand them all before paint.

I got the side panels painted black and all but one panel painted satin gray. I really don't see why people rave over Krylon Fusion. The satin panels look alright, but you can see my spray pattern in the gloss black. I guess I need to spray it on heavy to avoid that? I've tried 4 coats on it... 2 light coats as I usually do and that made spray patterns, so I did 2 heavy coats (I thought) and that made spray patterns. I used plain old PPG Pitbull spray bombs on my Triton and had no trouble getting a good finish. I just bought the Fusion because everyone else that paints a scooter swears it's great. Here''s what the PPG looked like for comparison... I hate paint and body work.

I shoulda known I'd have trouble. I painted a few boost bottles gloss black and they have a pretty dull lustre. I thought maybe it was something to do with PVC, but I guess not.

Annapolis Paint. It was like $5.89 a can at the time, but Krylon was around $5 too.
I may just leave the things alone for now. Retro scoots are kinda ugly IMO anyway lol. I don't think I'd have any better luck starting fresh with Krylon and I'm too cheap to buy more paint after what I've just spent (and I'll say again, I hate paint and body work). I'm not happy with the seat either, so I told my father that if him or I end up riding a lot I may do more work down the road. I'd just add factory black panels in when I ordered the seat if it comes to that.
