LOL, you have no idea what hot is. It was nice here yesterday, only hit 79°F but is supposed to be 86°F today with low humidity also. Still not bad like when it hits 100°F with high humidity which feels like 110. It is very bad out West. Could be worse yet with wind and fire...
I am wrenching on a stool today. One of those roll-around jobs that was put together with the wrong casters and baseplate. I have to remove the casters, hammer the baseplate flat. Then broach some square holes for the caster hardware. All for a $2 garage sale find that I can understand WHY it was for sale. Chinese junk. At least I have the tools to fix it. I have one that I use in the garage I bought at HF. It has been good for 20 years. This garage sale unit probably came from Walmart, -no markings but some sort of bogus 'certification' sticker.

Lol FrankenMech it's hot for me when it goes above 65f. So tyres done and paid for so will fit tonight when it's cooler. Good luck with your square peg through round holes or whatever way round it is

Been wrenching on one of my car projects the last couple weeks instead of the scooters... My 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II. Over the last two weeks I've freshened up the 426 big block engine, ported the heads, built and installed multi-port fuel injection and ECU controlled timing/ignition, fixed a whole bunch of leaks, patched some rust, rebuilt the exhaust for turbos, and today my twin turbos showed up in the mail... Mounted one right on the collector just for kicks to see if the hood would clear... Nope. Should be good for 1300HP if(Ok when) I turn up the boost, but I'm planning on keeping it down around 700HP until I have time to go through the transmission and rear end on it.

I had a 68 Plymouth Belvedere with a 318 in my younger days. I bought it with 90,000 miles in 1974 and put another 100,000 on it with a valve job in 1977, transmission adjustment in '81, before I sold it in '82. The next owner was related and put nearly another 100,000 on it. The main problem I had with it was I could not keep a voltage regulator in it.

If you were sneaky you could make a very nice Roadrunner clone from that car
I daily'd a '69 Roadrunner that was basically the same as your '68 in my early college years. Had a motor that started out as a 318 but ended up as a 342ci stroker. I put endless miles on that thing, but like yours mine had electrical problems. It kept burning up alternators. Luckily I had a lifetime warranty on them, and the parts store let me swap them a total of 28 times before finally suggesting I find the actual problem before they run outa alternators

Thats a good looking ride! I was always a fan of fender mounted mirrors too. Looks like it was probably a bit smaller than my Plymouth, but thats not surprising given the size of 60's and 70's American cars

I was driving the Nissan Altima yesterday and the check engine light started flashing and it felt almost like it dropped out of gear for a sec. The light turned off and it was running fine, then it came back on and was running rough. I pulled over and the idle was very rough so I went back home. This morning I checked codes and it has a pending code for misfire on cylinder 1. Took it in the garage and it ran fine. Pulled the coil and found oil in the plug well. Figured it may just be all of the oil so I cleaned it and #2 that had a little in it too. Fired it up to pull outside and it ran rough for a minute and the. Was fine again. 1 coil was replaced at 145k, the next at 157k. Currently at 175k with 2 OG coils left, so I just ordered both and new plugs. I figured I needed to replace o-rings or seals on the valve cover to stop the oil. Wrong. Nissan made the seals part of the cover that can’t be replaced, so I’ve got a whole cover on order. I cut grass 2 days ago and when I turned left the steering would slip. The steering wheel would keep turning, but the front wheels didn’t turn much. Pulled that mower in after the car was out. Stripped gear. Parts on order. The other mower has been smoking. Looks like a valve cover leaking right on top of the header. Gotta order parts for that. A deck wheel broke off too. That I did actually fix by welding it back on and replacing the wheel. The battery is also dead on that mower so it’s out waiting for a replacement.

Too busy riding the RC-one. Not enough time for other maintenance. 😉 Nissan are not the only manufacturer to not sell a gasket for the valve cover. Ford are the same on some models. It's a stupid idea.
