Even after soaking overnight with WD-40 and touching it this morning the stud budged maybe ⅓ of a turn but it now looks like this. I feel like my vice grips got more damage than the bolt 😞 Both guardian bells still intact lol

Got a bigger torch and all I managed to do was strip the bolt even more....🤦🏻♂️ For now everything is back together, exhaust is being held up by one bolt and the braket it comes with. I opted for raising the rear by about 1.5". Now I don't scrape the frame or the exhaust going up and down my driveway. A bandaid fix, definitely not a long term solution.

Perhaps get some big ass vice grips with some really nasty teeth?? That's what I was using. I might need to weld a nut to it, heat the block and use an impact. It really sucks because I was finally getting some good progress on my tuning. Got it to 53 the run before I saw the broken stud

Good point, muscling it is liable to shear off the bolt even closer, however I think you'd need a pretty hefty impact wrench. Think like, lug nuts are 80 ft lbs you probably need no less than 100 ft lb impact wrench. I hate problems like this! Good luck

Thanks man. I just hope I can get it out with out too much damage If you don't feel like welding a nut on, last time I had that happen, I put a notch across the top with a dremel cutoff wheel, and used a flat head screwdriver. As for penetrating oil, WD-40 is pretty weak (it's not that great lubricant). Get some actual penetrating oil, or even some regular 3-in-1.

Dude, I got two GY6 heads sitting in my garage doing nothing. Want one? Sure! that way if my next plan doesn't work and I mess up my head I'll have another one on deck. How much do you want for one?
