I'll have to wait on JB WELD until the new manifold comes in.

My God no JB Weld. Use RTV between the intake and the head. Follow the instructions and a little goes a long way. Also make sure to file your clocking flange a little so it doesn't bump up against the forward part of the head. If you don't it won't sit flat. Couldn't get imgur to bring up this old image so a screen shot See where it bumps up a little? That'll.mess it up

You gotta shave a 45 degree angle on that edge on the manifold, not the head, so it'll sit flat .

You can kinda see where it's shiny on the head where it bumps up. Took me a while to figure that out too. TRS told me about it. Sure as shit it was the problem

Finally got some time to look at the ruck. I found a pinched O-ring, Might be part of the problem.

Had to recruit some help to get the red locktight bolts out. Homeboy doubles as a soldering iron too! 🤙🏼 If you look closely there's a storage rolling bench in the background. Father's day present I'm not allowed to open yet. #pardonthemess

I bet that o ring is your problem. Just the way the leak only pops up once you are going... Holds a seal when you start it as it really starts sucking the o ring fails with a pin hole leak and it goofs up. Hope you can find an o ring that'll fit. Worse case an intake is $12

I think you should use both, if that o ring wasn't messed up. If you Chuck the o ring it sounds like it should work. Worse case you are back to where you started.
That's clocking flange right? I might have an old one. I can look.

Yeah it's a clocking flange. I'll have to get a new intake and maybe clocking flange for the new carb. I barely clear the frame crossbeam upfront.
Thanks 🤙🏼

I barely clear it too. The foam on the uni filter is right up against it.
