You can trace the old one. Thickness does matter. Doesn't have to be exact, but should be close.

hey guys everything went in smoothly unfortunitly i could not get any pitures i forgot it on my way to the garage. we didint have enough time to upjet im going to do it tuesday night. i did drive it though and it wouldnt go over 30mph or let me go past half throttle it just bogged and didnt really accelerate to fast so im assumming this is due to the stock jet in correct?

Sounds like it was soft seizing, which you would have expected. Expect a better run once you jet properly. Also, I would recommend you stay away from 30mph+ runs until you do. Even soft seizing can hurt the engine.

I don't think you soft seized it. The engine would stop. I think your jetting is just wrong.

hey guys GREAT NEWS i got the 88 jet installed and shes running. im still breaking her in and have been keeping it 1/4 throttle and a few high rev pulls!!!! which are amazing the torque. i have 5 gram rollers in there now. im thinking with the new power i should go a little heavier weights since the power curve is diffrent and its probably revving to high now? what is the ususal gram size that people run in 2 stroke 70cc's

Roller weight varies depending what gearing is and other factors. If it's running well now you probably won't have to go much higher in weight. You could pick up a set of 6g weights and then you'd have the option to use 5, 5.5, or 6g. If you feel like it's way light, maybe get a set of 7s and you can mix to make 5, 6, or 7g.

That would make it rev even higher.
