Hope you heal up ok Brent. I was wondering if a bear was gonna eat you after the crash. That was weird.

The only important question remains... did the poor deer survive? Sorry, i am an animal lover first. Look a few posts above for all I know about the deer. The deer probably shook it off and walked away. Lucky you wore good equipment this shows you how important it is when something unexpected like that happens.

The nurse asked if I was ready to quit riding and I said no. 🤘 right on man. Same way I feel. I don't wanna tip toe through life just to arrive safely at my death. I do get a little slower after near-misses tho haha. No shame in it.

I missed a lot of scooter news lately, popped back in to read about and watch this terrible accident. I pray for your recovery and i'm glad you are still on this earth with us.
And great job with the 2 wimminz attacking your clothing! Too bad you didn't get any venison though. Would taste pretty good after a second grilling while reminiscing about T2's grill...

I hit a deer a bunch of years back on a Yamaha Maxim. I feel for you. Heal up quick and get back on 2.

When I used to bolt around on my dirt bike in my teenage years, our dumb-ass doberman ran right out in front of me and I T-boned him at 50mph. Killed him instantly and broke my arm in the process. These things make you gun-shy but there's really not much you can do about a darting animal, other than to drive slow all the time? Yeah right. It's the chance we all take which far overshadows the bliss we feel when we ride. Maybe get some huge mad max cutting blades and mount them to the front of the bike to cut through these critters like butter.

Long time ago we were playing S.F and drove the family up to a park there. It closed at dusk and we were 5 mins late. Took a small winding road and just as we turned a corner a mama dear stepped out in our path.
Slammed on the brakes and we just sat there for a few seconds staring at each other. Then 2 small deer ran across the road. When they were across the mama ran after them.

I nailed one last year on the way home from dropping my son off at college. It was dark out, seen him in the road, swerved to the right to miss him, and to the right was yet another one that I didn't see till I started the swerve, so I swerved again real quick to the left. Went right between both of them, but the one on the right side smacked the side of my door with it's nose or something. I about shit! So I stop at the first gas station when I hit town to check my underwear and check for damage to my car. To my surprise, not one bit of damage.

A little better than it was, but not good. Leg and foot are puffy. I'd get an appt at the local orthopedic place, but they'll take a week to get me in. Might as well just wait till my appt in Baltimore and have them check if it's not getting better.

Might as well just wait till my appt in Baltimore and have them check if it's not getting better. if you do that, stay off it and ice it/heat it. It's the swelling that causes the damage. Also try to keep it raised above your heart (I know). I had to do this a bunch of years ago when I cut my leg bad. You gotta keep that swelling down.
