The pipe looks very crusty,,hope it'll clean up without breaking through... True that! I was going to try the electrolysis rust removal process on the pipe. Plastic bin filled with water, enough to submerge the pipe, Oxyclean, steel rebar as the anode/cathode to receive the rust, and a car battery charger as the electricity supply. My coworker used that process to remove rust from some rifle parts because he didn't want to sand those parts. He said it worked really well. But, in the end, if it gets too messed up, I have another sectional V8. I also found that the regular black v8 with plastic heat shield works pretty well on 90cc setups.

this is what will probably go on the scoot once the fame and wiring are taken care of. modified the airbox to carb connection using an ABS plumbing elbow secured in place to the airbox with plastic weld epoxy. ABS elbow mates up to the carb mouth with a rubber plumbing cap that I cut a hole into to match the mouth diameter of the Polini CP 24 carb. stock Ningbo GTX airbox, intake inlet on airbox opened up to 1"x1.5" rectangular opening. Motoforce cooling fan. NCY jog90 small rotor ignition. Motoforce 47.6mm mid race 10 pin bore kit. Ruima crankshaft 10 pin, large spline, large taper. Polini bearings and seals. Yasuni chamber pipe.

After I put the 90cc block on the GTX, I took some of the panels off to make it look "shitty" so that it wouldn't be so attractive to thieves. A friend of mine parked his black GTX in front of Pali Safeway in nuuanu and it got stolen while he was in Safeway. It was found by the police about 3 weeks later in Waipahu. Tail light lenses broken, speedometer cover broken and speedo needle removed. It's a trip that if you go on Oahu craigslist, people sell their mopeds that got stolen and recovered by police... and it's typically the same sort of damages, broken tail light lenses, and broken speedo covers. Once again, sorry to hear that your GTX got stolen

Dont forget to drill out the back panel for flow Yes sir, that's the next problem to solve. Trying to figure out how much of the inner pocket I need to cut back. Thinking of cutting it back in a way that I can install some mesh/screen so the pocket is somewhat functional but the radiator fins are still protected.

Just vent it into the cup holder, keep your coffee warm.

Just vent it into the cup holder, keep your coffee warm. I once rode with an opened can of Arizona Green Tea in the front panel pocket, ended up spilling most of it. Whenever I hit any sort of bumps on the road, green tea came splashing out of the can opening. I'm sure riding with coffee would lead to getting splashed with hot coffee...burn the Nut sack

did some work with the Dremel fiber cut-off wheel. such an amazing and useful tool I cut open the pocket for flow and so that the radiator would fit and clear the inner panels. I also had to cut some of the metal off the faring/rectifier/horn mount to get the radiator to sit properly. I'm going to cut out the center section of the inner panel next weekend. my girlfriend thought the radiator in the head light are was cool. she asked me about it, and I told her that I was trying to figure out how I was going to cut out the headlight clear cover, in a way that there would be 2 symmetrical openings on each side with a 1" middle rib down the center. the clear cover would be painted black and my plan was to glue this sort of mesh on the back side of it. then she told me, "can I make an artistic suggestion? you should cut it out like teeth, so it looks like a mouth. you can make the teeth white and use red mesh behind it." ...oh yeah..? she's always been supportive of my moped modding and adventures. why hell, she would tell me to go get my helmet and go have fun hunting Honda Elite's on the weekends. at one point, she even told me I should put "kill count" slash marks on my fairing panel. this is what the backside of the front fairing looks like for now and the mesh that I am going o put behind the "teeth" so far, this is what I cut out of the headlight assembly for the radiator to fit. fun times, irie eyed
