i just cut the whiz-bang pipe. as i suspected and like the drawing of the pipe map, there is a cone and it is offset from the center line axis. i may end up cutting the round can at the weld seam. seems like the can is rolled as one piece, welded up along the axis, and then it is cut so that the cone can be welded in offset to the center axis. once the cone is welded in, the rest of the can is welded back on. i am thinking of cutting the can at the seam with the coping saw so that i can roll the can 180* so that the exit nozzle is pointing down instead of up.

the JAD pipe is reoriented. i also used a file to flatten the exhaust flange. i know G9 of SSS pointed out his dissatisfaction with the thin and warped flanges of the scorpion-type pipes. a flat file easily flattens it out. ...hack away; Scorpion for Minarelli. irieLab, make anykine, because can.

so i was trying to decide where to cut next. a part of me wants to cut the weld to right of the mount tab, and roll it 180*. another part of me wants to cut the seam/weld after the mount tab, and roll the can 180* so that the nozzle points down. i guess i could leave it up to forum member input on where to cut it. what would you guys like to see? either way, i have brainstormed a solution as far as the mount bracket so no problem there. if i cut to the right of the tab, we do not get to see what the rear cone/stinger looks like. if i cut the seam to the left of the tab, we get to see what is hidden in the can, but for sure it is a cone. what you like see...? let me know.

What's hiding inside? 🤔 I finally got the can cut open last night. I will take some pictures of it after work today. It was too dark to take pics with the laptop camera.

just took more pics with a flash light for the can because i realized the earlier pics were crap as far as lighting. and now, for your viewing pleasure, $400 of Asian pipe hacked into 3 pieces... Brand New! Scorpion style pipe modified for a minarelli... and then i realized that have not even delved into a solution for the exhaust flange and any modifications for that. ...we solve as we go...

That's interesting the inner cone is perforated like the old Leo vince ZX.

no. i totally understand what you mean about the Leo Vince perf cone.
on this pipe, the cone is solid.
the perforated metal is on the inside of the "end can" and it sandwiches some fiberglass between the perforated metal and the the can itself. from the looks of it, it just seems like it's function is sound deadening/attenuation. i guess you can liken the end can to the silencers on most chamber pipe. these types of pipes are basically Chamber pipes that are disguised to look like "Stock" exhausts, like how half-wave pipes look like stock pipes.
in essence, they are like the Peace Pipes.

Anyone know why tapping on a picture takes me to the postimage submission page instead of embiggening the picture? Great pics! So i guess the end cap acts as a sort of silencer, but it’s not a very good one XD
