hey guys i jsut installed the 72cc cast iron kit for my kymco super 9. i have gone through about 50 miles or so and have taken it pretty easy on it for break in but a few times i let her go wot for a couple seconds to see what a the diffrence was between 50cc vs 70cc. my top speed was 42mph which is only about 3 mph faster then stock. So what gives?
i have a technigas next r pipe, 1000 contra, 1500 clutch springs, 5 gram rollers, and im pretty sure stock belt going on about 6300km and running 32:1 premix

I have the oem cdi. I have fully derestricted it except for the cdi and i have upjetted to a 88 jet. Would the premix ratio rlly make a diffrence on the power. Im thinking its just the oem cdi is not letting it rev high enough to make more power

I don't know about the CDI, my stock (just a pipe) AC Super 9 would hit 48 and cruise at 45. (GPS #'s, speedo 50+)
Something else seems amiss. The boss restriction would have you at 30MPH and sounds as though that has been removed. You have the same pipe I do on mine. I would guess the issue is in the CVT somewhere or the carb needs to be tuned. Just a guess......... maybe your belt has stretched?

What could be causing the scooter to die when coming to a stop. Flooding the engine when off the throttle?

I'm eager to hear the answer to this one myself. If it's flooding the engine at idle I would be thinking that your idle mixture would be too rich or perhaps your enricher has gone bad. But are you sure it's flooding, or are you supposing?

When i get off the throttle the idle goesbway down and the motor just dies and will not start back up. It crancks but doesnt turn over. The second time it happened i cant get it to start at all it still wont start i put both screws all the way in the carb and then turned the idle to 2.5 turns and the other one to 2 turns and it still wont start

it does crank and turn over it doesnt fire lol. i havent been able to get the plug out as i dont have a deep socket enough to remove it. i havent tries starter fluid as i dont have it and i have tries with holding the throttle open and no success. The intake gasket does have a small rip in it? so it could be a air leak but would it start up 2 times and then not start at all due to a air leak?

just like in a car a small air leak or vacuum leak can quickly become a big one if you didnt change the piolt jet and your still on the oe carb i doubt you are flooding heck you have 50 miles on the build i cant imagine going 50 miles on a build without doing so plug chops or at least checking the plug i would also consider a compresion check as you could have tossed a circlip and tore things up

i highly doubt i tossed the circlip cuz it runs fine when its on it wouldnt do that if it lossed a circlip. im going to check the plug tomorrow. im thinking of trying starter fluid tonight i just heard mix reviews on using starter fluid on 2 strokes. cuz it doesnt have lubrication

Usually a backfire is caused by a flame in the exhaust pipe brought about by one of several things, usually ignition timing. But a burnt or improperly seating exhaust valve can cause that too. Since your scoot is a Mineralli-style 2T there is no exhaust valve (though some 2Ts do have exhaust valves) so I would be pointing to a problem with your ignition timing.
