The blue arrows indicate the jet I'm talking about in the post above: Question: what is the purpose of the pipe indicated with the green arrow?

Blue is idle/pilot.
Green is choke well. Just a tube that draws fuel up for the choke.

Blue is idle/pilot. Green is choke well. Just a tube that draws fuel up for the choke. Thanks, pitobread. The scoot idles as expected, need only to adjust properly the air/fuel ratio. At this moment, the biggest problems are: 1. Can't find a throttle cable within reach. I only found in Japan (takes too long / expensive to buy one) - I bought an universal cable for Daelim, Honda, Kymco, Sym but it's 20-25 cm shorter. 2. I need an intake manifold to fit this model (a longer one than the current). The one that is on it doesn't fit well (the carb stays against the plastic shield. Any ideas are welcome!!

I have one of those intakes sitting in a pile. Problem is I'm bad at shipping things/lazy.

. As far as I can tell, it is shorter. Measured the cable I bought (compatible to Honda Dio) and it has about 190 cm and it doesn't fit. So probably something that is over 210 cm should fit.

I don't know if it's better or worse, cost-wise. If by any means you can get me a post quote, and the shipping is not a deal killer, I can transfer the requested amount via PayPal.

Great news. I bought an intake out of ebay...the only one available, from Canada. The shipping is twice the value of the item but...at least is the OEM one. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

After talking with goodkat, I’m pretty sure he will need a pd19 dio carb. It looks like he has an 86 aero 50 or a 87 se50 elite carb and manifold. They both came on variated Af05e engines. The Af05e carb and manifold will bolt right up to a dio engine. But they are 17mm. Have a petcock/fuel valve nipple and an oil supply Nipples on the manifold (2 total). The diointake manifold and carb will bolt up to an Af05e with a spacer/adapter between reed block and case. The dio carb is a 19mm has an oil supply nipple on the carb at the slide. And no vacuum nipple on manifold. The af18 doesn’t for sure. I’m assuming on other vertical dio’s. The Af05e 17mm has a vent in front of the side of Venturi. You can not use the lid for oil injection. Carb won’t run right with out a vent for the float bowl. It’s either both parts on one or both parts on the other. Cant swap carbs to manifolds. The bolt spacing is too large. Randomly, walbro carbs up to 22-23mm will fit on Af05e manifolds and larger body series almost fit the dio manifolds. A little persuasion with a dremel drill or file to holes. And they fit pefectly. Here’s some comparison pics. In case you ever come across this.

harleyracer59 Damn, that's alot of info. Thanks!! So, I ordered the original intake manifold that came on Honda Giorno, and looks like this: auto insurance for foreign driversReed valve included. What are my options of carburetor to use with the original manifold, considering that the oil pump will be removed? Keihin PD19 or a chinese knock-off option? Any other carbs that might work as a bolt on part? The carburetor that currently runs on my scoot is identical (to my untrained eye) with the one on the left (first photo) and last photo.

without buying a spigot carb adapter from fleabay Italy, I think your pretty much stuck with original equipment, that china knockoff or a walbro. wb? I think. I like my walbros, but O.G. keihen would be the safer easier option. ive never ran the knockoff carb but, I have read quality can be hit or miss with them. I run no name jets, and ive eventually tamed and tuned a couple knockoff OKO carbs. those power jets can be a bitch... lol honestly thought if your af24 was mine, id have a "ct" style intake and Boysen style reed block and a 19mm on stock bore, 21-26mm pick your flavor mikuni, keihen, dellorto carburetor. but that's what I like. im not saying you NEED to run those, and they take patients and perseverance, and a whole lot of trial and error to figure out that path. it can certainly be tricky. but it eventually gets easier. like the old saying: practice makes perfect. practice can get expensive though.. choose your adventure

I have one of those carbs also sitting in a pile, I am pretty sure the dio is a 17mm carb though at least all the canadian market ones I have seen. I have an AF34 carb which is definitely a 19mm here as well and it appears to bolt up to the standard flange
I would not go bigger than a 19mm unless you had a large cylinder and pipe to support it. 19mm is more than enough and the only gain you will see is fuel economy going down the toilet on a stock or mild setup. I have a 21mm on a mild 70 bore and low end tuning sucks and it is depressingly thirsty.
I also have a weird adapter here I made that bolts a stock carb to a CT intake bottom. That plus the AF34 carb would be a hot setup in my eyes.

Can't wait for the intake and other bits from aliexpress to arive so I can put some effort in this scooter. If everything works as expected, in the winter it will be entirely reworked.
