I was using a China head gasket with the o ring. And I hope so. Although I've been happy so far with the power, not so much the "reliability" and I know that with an increase in power there is a decrease in reliability. Honestly hope the polini build last till I get a crank unlike this build.

Just got the text message. The ported polini sport is at the post office in my town. After work today I will be getting her buttoned back up. Also I will be drilling a hole in a couple of the fins to put my temp sensor in. I'm hoping that will make it a bit more accurate, since I don't have the plug ring on the sensor anymore. Pretty sure I'll have to play with jetting a bit. But then again I feel like I've been a bit rich on the pilot this whole time.

From your picture you look like you have a copper gasket between the cylinder and cylinder head the polini has a rubber gasket that you use instead of the copper gasket .

Here is a better shot and it looks like the polini (on the left) has a flat flange. Which is an obstacle.

Actually I was supplied with a Polini gasket set which had a. 25mm base and 1.25mm hg and another set with a .75 base and .75 hg, polini branded on left

And due to the ports not opening fully I will be using the .75mm base set more then likely. But I've gotta get the pipe to go on right

Well I'll be damned the polini flange(on left) is flat. But there is a light amongst the darkness. Bout a month or so back I bought a China cylinder from Ryan that he ported to match a Corsa. I only used it about 15 miles and quit due to the piston and moreso the rings were junk. Well I just measured it and the polini I just bought from him and bang on they are the same. 19.8mm exhaust roof height and 30.3 transfer roof height( measured from deck) and still has it's crosshatching, mostly. So I'm gonna put this cylinder on with the polini piston, rings and head.

Does you cylinder head have the o-ring gasket groove. I always use copper spray with my gaskets for better sealing

Back together again. But she is feeling crappy. Almost dead when I rev it. Now these are my first impressions as I've only heat cycled it one time and only revved until the clutch engaged at 4500. Maybe 1/4 throttle. It did heat up to 153 with a spike to 168 after I shut it off. Total run time at this post 2-3 minutes. Ported China iron cylinder. Polini Sport 47mm piston and polini sport head. .75mm uncompressed base gasket and same for head gasket. Br9es plug. Same jetting and carb etc as before
Will change Sig when I feel this is gonna do what I need/want
Edit upon edit: I have got to invest in some proper tools ie pressure tester amd compression tester minimum, the have more data if anything
