That doesnt sound right New Kit Low on Power . Do you have a piece of solder to check squish .7 to 1.2 is what you would want to be in between.
I made a homemade pressure tester with a blood pressure bulb and some tubing and a low pressure gauge . I have a cheap harbor freight compression tester it is not great but it gives me a baseline number for cylinder health.

Kinda acts like it's lean. Well based on how it was before. Just to give a bit of insight, not sure if others do this as well,I've been kinda judging my "power" by putting the find out part of the kicker against my calf/ankle and then twist open the throttle and see how badly it tries to break my leg. It's how I've judged clutch engagement and so far it's working for me. Anyways by that method it feels weak. But upon heat cycle number 2 light throttle loading was feeling some what stronger. But still heating up quickly. Went 75 to 110 in about 2 mintues, then was at 150 by the 4or 5 minutes. Then Reved it a few times to judge it's health. Shut down by 185. Total time running maybe 6 minutes including revving.
Although it was in The 60s this evening when I was doing these "tests" without the engine covers and inside of my 8x12 shed
Edit2 please keep in mind this is a hodgepodge collection of pieces that make my kit sue to various problems. In hindsight I, once again, should have just asked more questions and also saved more money and just ordered a Corsa instead of "cheating out" and buying the parts that I've bought. Cause I done put out half the money for an brand new AC Corsa already

I'm back to a blank canvas. Guess my torque wrench don't work right and while tightening the cylinder down to check deck clearance without a base gasket, a "fin" rather the top fin and part of the head gasket sealing surface broke the hell off the ported China cylinder. Can't use the polini jug cause I don't have a pipe for it and don't wanna mess with my Yasuni.
After reading some threads and doing a little thinking the last couple of days I think Becky will be left in the shed for now, but hopefully not all year.
Current plans to fix all aliments
41.4mm Hoca crank and new bearings and a 47.6mm bore aluminium cylinder. Would like either a stage 6 sport pro or Athena sport. Yasuni C16 Carbon
Would like to find some more specs for both kits mainly timing events. Pedparts, I believe, has dyno results with the stage 6 sport pro air cooled on a piaggio that made 12.5hp with Yasuni C16 and a poorly tuned variator. And it was able to do 70.

I decided that my hand honing job doesn't really look all that great so I bought an oem tools adjustable cylinder hone thing going to give that a try. I'm also on my way to go get grinding bits for my Dremel so I can port the cylinder a bit

Remeasured the exhaust port height. 20.3 just as it cracks open. As long as the ports all open with the .25 base gasket I have that should be at 1mm deck clearance. Timing numbers 195.79 deg exhaust and 132.7 deg transfer. 31.5 deg blowdown. My question are these good numbers for my street build Still have to clean it really good before it's ready to be installed. Gonna be using a Polini piston and head from a sport kit. Hope that this works better then everything else so far. Also I've got a nagging feeling to pull the intake and check that I haven't broken a reed.

That's a strange failure. It must of been binding on the stud, I guess.

That's a strange failure. It must of been binding on the stud, I guess. That is possible. Oh and it being "the cheapest kit on ebay", I believe is how it was worded. Ryan ott has a thread about this very same cylinder.

so I got the cylinder cleaned out from honing and porting, and installed and listen to that compression, without a head on.😊😁😎 remeasured deck and it's .84mm With a .2mm base gasket. With the .5mm head gasket I measured 1.45mm (did that to estimate squish). Fingers crossed

Nice work Bringing that cylinder back . You definetely have fought through some Gremlins . Get her back on the road Scooter Season is calling . Thanks Zino. She definitely has her "fair" (not really) share of gremlins but she's starting to let me love her. Lol. The season is here in Delaware my friend, or is this weekend, if you look past the rain it's been in the 60s and 70s. Anyway, I've got to find some thinner solder to check squish. Mine is 2.5mm thick to start, only got 1.6 when I put it in the jug. Well just as a reference, I tried hammering a piece of solder and it only squished to 1.56 whacking it with a long extension

Hopefully won't be long before it's back running now. Just got done with the first heat cycle. With covers on. I shut her down after 3 or 4 mins with a 150*F temp. I did have to adjust idle mix to 2.5 turns out, for some reason it was at 1 turn. Waiting for it to cool back to about 65-70 and recheck torque again. Then heat cycle number 2 BTW I've added 2 cap fulls of oil to the 1/4 tank I've got in it. Figure it can't hurt to have a bit more oil for break in
