Nice job saving that cylinder. Keep going! 3rd heat cycle vid is rendering now. As soon as it hit the tube it will be here. Just gonna say she's spicy.

Just did the first ride. 10 maybe 12 miles total. Half throttle, maybe a bit past. Seen 10130 rpm max. Speedo was pass where 55 should be. And was still pulling. Max temp 290*. And I'm sure I'll have to rejet. I've also got clutch drilling in my near future. ππππππ

3rd heat cycle vidja, and results of 2nd ride. That was 9900 rpms. And temp was right after shutdown. Need to drill clutch, vent CVT cover and drop rollers by a gram at least.

Those are Good Temps for breaking in You have room to tune the carb leaner for more power . 55 out of the Box is damn impressive . 60 plus mph is on the horizon When you get the carb in tune and cylinder run in.
Nice work .

That's pretty good with not much tuning.

Down jetted cross the board. From 38/108 to 36/105. Ain't rode it but it's even spicier the current 4500 clutch engagement comes on so quick. I would have rode it but one of my seat mounts broke. I'll try to fix that tomorrow then a test ride.

Gotta play with the CVT a bit, but that 57 was at 10460. In a half mile. Wot and pulls like a freight train. Then on the return trip it doesn't want to get shifting. But I'm sure I'm shimmed out to far. Although I've got to try filming from my phone mount to see it picks up the way it sounds north of 9600. Kinda sounds erie, BTW temps didn't go above 280 until I shut it down

Got a bit faster. Reshimmed from 1mm to .7. Dropped to 4 grams in the vari. Launches good, hits 10k quick. But I've got to go bigger on my main by I'm thinking 2 steps. She soft seized on a test ride. And when she shut off, let me tell you, my heart dropped. My top temp before the seize was 300, but it quickly jumped to 335. Well i pushed it about a half mile. Stopped and tried kicking it and nothing, temp 260. Well I'm still a mile from home, so I continue to push it. Half mile from home, temp down to about 180, I give it another couple of kicks and brapp it's back to life. Back home and in the shed she went. Woooh, that was a scare.

Quick thought/question. How much would 10 degrees cooler weather affect my jetting. Keeping in mind that I can't run a filter or anything due to no room(I desperately need to stretch her at least 4 inches)

I ride at temps from 40 to 90 degrees Most Times it is between 55-75 degrees So I set my Jetting to work best on the low end of that range . It tends to make me run rich above 75 degrees . I dont notice much change with 10 degrees difference on my temp gauges . At 30 Degrees difference The temp gauge usually finds a new home 5- 10 degrees higher . I might move jetting maybe 2-3 % From Summer to Winter Jets .
With snowmobiles we would change jetting up or down 5% for 40 degrees difference in temps . We defaulted them to the richer side . They had to run from 40 below to 40 above Zero as a operating range for customers . Now Racing Radar Runs We would push the limits andLean them way out till they would scream once and awhile we would burn a hole in the piston . We either Won ,Placed High or Dragged a Sled home .

Keeping in mind that I can't run a filter or anything due to no room(I desperately need to stretch her at least 4 inches) FWIW, Thatβd be equivalent to 50F which would effect my jetting by at least a couple sizes. On my Jog, I drop from a 78MJ to a 76MJ when I have swings of that much. Iβve never done a chop, but she seems pretty happy at that.

This is the plug as is right now. After the soft seize and part throttle half mile ride home. Looks very grey to me. Good thing that it didn't knock a hole in the piston. Gonna put a new plug in and upjet the main from 105 to 110, maybe 112. I'm also going to put a new fuel filter on as well.

That is on the grey side Go up 8-10 % on jets and see if it Bogs down whn you hit the throttle wide open . If it doesn't Run that jet and see how she performs for speed and temps and plug coloring. If she Bogs at 8-10% go in that 5% plus range instead. And retest for speed ,temps and plug coloring .
Lastly You could do a wide open Plug chop to verify for safety .

I leaning toward tryinv a 112 from 105, more because its only gonna be 50F today. And was thinking about chopping a plug or 2, but gotta get more plugs first, only have 1 new plug other then this grey one
