The starter relay does just click. Need to pull the vari on it anyway to see if it's even got rollers left. Maybe because of Becky's starter clutch being messed up is the reason her motor will spin either direction?
No wait I think I know what's up. The same thing that happened to Becky's starter clutch, it's about to spit it guts all over my shop.

Just remove the starter and go just to kick starting is one option. You then can go to a bigger variator up front like a overrange .
Or just between the 2 starters make one functional.

I have a stock vari and fan, along with a rear pulley from Becky that I am gonna use long enough to get the Zuma motor running as a 50 at first. And I'm going on the hope that with clean carb, good gas, coil and plug that it will kick over and go. And if it does then I've got a set of 5 gram rollers and 6 gram sliders in 15x12 flavor for a bit of CVT tuning Although a non cat stock pipe and another clutch and bell would be nice to have. Being an 08 motor the non cat pipe would make a little bit more power

Looking at my parts bin I could basically rebuild a stock zuma .
I have enough aftermarket parts . Clutch ,Variator ,pipe ,cylinder . That I could probably hop one to 45-50 mph with me just buying some new piston rings for the extra 70 cc kits I have .
