After having evaluated all the different maps on the stock exhaust, I went ahead and put the new exhaust on this evening. Doing so shed a net total of 15 lbs. The rear foot pegs alone are about 5 pounds, about the same weight as the entire new exhaust. All of the stock exhaust components that were removed come to about 15 lbs. Anticipating how loud it was going to be, and that it was about 8 pm, I closed the garage door and fired it up. Holy crap, you're right aeroxbud, it is loud. I totally dig it, but I will have to take it easy leaving the neighborhood. It is loudest as RPMs increase - holding the throttle open in one position isn't too bad.

Losing so much weight high up Should really improve the handling too. 👍

With the dB killer in, I rode down to fill 'er up. Mind thought: Ruck vs. Duke, the Ruck is generally always loud because it's basically WOT all the time. Duke can be modulated to within reason, and on an even, steady course, Duke is quieter than the Ruck. So hey, let's remove the Duke's dB killer.. holy crap, it can literally tickle your eardrums. It's got a really loud nasty bite when rev'd, and when sitting idle is like, whoa. As such, the dB killer will be inserted most of the time. Cool thing is, single easy-to-access allen bolt to install/remove. Now I really want to get a knee on the ground. And practice wheelies. And just plain ride. Can't wait for warmer weather (mid 40s this evening) and for the social-distancing crap to blow over. In due time. Vid already posted, so re-posted here for the "before" effect www.youtube.com/watch?v=YarNqP9lazMMivv installed, dB killer IN Next up, still looking for a good set of bar end mirrors that fit my fancy and the bike.

Needs some map tuning. This could take long time and I probably still won't nail it overall. When about 1/4 throttle cruising in 3rd or 4th, RPMs roughly 4k, there is a short hesitation with a quick flick to WOT. Guessing a bit too rich. Or I dunno, there is also the ignition timing table that I am completely newb at. Someone here mentioned a local bike shop that works on all bikes, rockets to harleys. Short of succumbing to the inevitable, is there a "map your own fuel/ignition 101"?

Does that system have the ability to “auto tune” from a wide band O2?

If you fit a power commander, they have a downloadable map. Might even have your bike and exhaust.

Does that system have the ability to “auto tune” from a wide band O2? No closed loop. One of the reasons I got the map 1/2 switch.

If you fit a power commander, they have a downloadable map. Might even have your bike and exhaust. If I knew then what I know now, I might have gone with the Power Commander V in the first place. The dyno houses already seem to be tightly integrated with this unit - it's Dynojet, after all, soup to nuts. $400 gamble. I said newb already, right?? Ah well.

After long lament over the price of the CRG Lane Splitters, and that I have to additionally purchase specially milled bar ends to fit them for another $70, I finally ordered this stuff tonight. I could not find any other lane splitter style mirrors, even after inquiring with online supplier.

Also found what was wrong with the ECU piggyback. There is an "Injection Noise Filter" setting that comes preset to 20 ms. Short of making up BS that I don't completely understand, it has something to do with the fuel injector firing period, and (I guess??) determining if the injection event was valid or not? There's also an "Ignition Noise Filter" that I assume runs off a similar or same algorithm. Nonetheless, setting the Injection Noise Filter to zero made all the difference in the world. Awesome throttle response across the entire RPM band now. I went from awe geez there something wrong and i need professional tuner, to, WOW this is awesome! Pretty elated to say the least, very happy with it now.

It's teasing you. Just when you think the riding season has started. It throws a spanner in the works. 😬
