It's teasing you. Just when you think the riding season has started. It throws a spanner in the works. 😬 I don't mind, realizing now that I've had it for 7 weeks and still managed to put 1100 miles on it. That's double what would be normal work commute miles only. Rode to work only twice before quarantining began.

Finally coughed up for the CRG LaneSplitters. Arrived yesterday. Very pleased. The lines are soo much smoother now, those OEMs are just blegh. Thing is, it's not just about looks. The CRGs have a very wide field of view, and mount outside your body envelope. No more elbow squeezing to see anything behind you. Oh, and lost another net 1.4 pounds. It always amazed me how different a bike "feels" by removing the mirrors - is it that, or does the 1.4 pounds really mean it's that much easier to wheelie now. Nonetheless, huge boost in the fun factory department. Only two more things remain before it's "done": cusher seat, and replace rear seat with hard cowling for cargo space. With the piggyback ECU in there, I can't even fit a pair of sunglasses. Oh, and later on, maybe a low-profile luggage rack for the inevitable long trip(s).

Poor scooter is getting so neglected. Need to take the carb off and tune and, uh, new rings or bbk! About 2000 miles on the new bike. Been hitting the seasonal roads. Loving it, great escape.

Reaction out of the 390 forum has seemed oddly sparse since day 1, considering the 20k people (did I read that right?) that are registered. Whatever, totally tempted to get the basic 172cc bbk for the Ruck because I know the rings are shot and I'm not looking for any huge upgrades. If going into that cheap-ass chinese engine is what it takes to fix it, then it better come back out with more horsepower than it started with. +22cc i'd be ok with it.

This is the dB-killer that broke after only 1000 miles of use: In the meantime riding because a broken pipe is just only loud. Heck I got the ECU tuning software close to 15% over stock in the higher throttle/rev bands.

The fact that the Remus S-Pipe mix up happened because of CA emission laws lead me right to this exhaust, and I am so glad for that now. The Remus is a low-mount pipe. MIVV is a high mount, MotoGP heritage, and depending on your taste, Italian.. !

It was a great riding season. Weather was really nice. In 2020 nonetheless, something good to be said about it. Near end-of-year riding pics.
