The scooter my wife has had been of the road for about 4 years. I have slowly getting it ready to sell. One of the things it needed was a new battery. I have two in the shed both the same. One for my 250. The other for her bike. So I ordered a new one. Because of the layout of the Habana. It is a real nightmare fitting a battery. So I just left it sitting on the floor connected up while doing repairs. All the main jobs done I decided to fit the battery. It's a tight fit, that involves laying on your back. Pushing the battery up into a box buried deep in the side panel. With access restricted by the exhaust. After 15 minutes I gave up. Took the rear light off and removed the rack so I could take the rear bodywork off. The battery doesn't fit the box! I said to my wife I don't understand. She went and produced the right battery from a cupboard she had put it in when we moved three years ago.

Having a plug and play 70mph minarelli motor, and not having a scooter to put it in... Funny that I have a 70cc qmb139 with nothing to put it on 😊

I bought a performance cooling fan for my Thunder, which came with a set of allen bolts attach it. As I was having a bad arthritis day, and I forgot to grab my allen keys, I decided to use the OEM bolts to attach the fan. Heck, they looked close enough to the same length. After discovering the scooter would not start, it looks my stator is not working. No resistance. The mounting holes are a little deeper in the fan than the OEM, and the allen bolts, after a second look, are definitely shorter. I am making a huge guess that I hit something with one of the bolts. I did not touch anything but the fan and shroud. I need to stop trying to be a mechanic. And listen to that little voice in my head that tries to be heard over the knee pain. i done that last year ordered a new fan and used the bolts that come with it and broke the stater
