I have been sitting at home trying to figure out where to get food when I run out in a couple days. Many grocery stores offer delivery options, even Amazon delivers groceries. Maybe a neighbor could offer assistance.

The regular flu has killed more people than Corona and the media doesn't care about it but now they create unnecessary panic by broadcasting death numbers every day and saying that any person of any age can be the next victim.
If you have HIV, no matter what age, which weakens your immune system, then well...shit. If you have leukemia, no matter what age, well...shit. If you have a history of chronic sickness that affects your lungs or immune system then you are within that risk group of people. But if you are a fine and healthy human speciment then there is nothing to panic. Try to not get infected or spread it around further if you are.
That's about it. The stupid media is feeding on this creating unnecessary panic situation and trying to get views and numbers.

I don't think the public will stand for this for too much longer, those that had jobs want to go back to them. I could see them leave their houses en masse at some time to go protest at the steps of government. Them (the government) telling us to sit quietly at home while they waste time arguing about what they are going to do for us is not going over very well. The patience of the public is not long suffering for political posturing and maneuvering... especially at the expense of we, the people. They should move forward for us (quickly) or just get the hell out of the way and let those that do want to get things properly done freed up to do the job (that we pay them to do) for the betterment of us all.

Maybe a neighbor could offer assistance. I have checked stock at a few, even Amazon, and they have been out of nearly everything I need. I think I am going to try a Walmart during the senior only hours.
They have closed down my local pharmacy also. Another pharmacy is supposed to have my prescriptions but who knows? I will call tomorrow and see.
This virus is not the flu, it has a much higher mortality rate and is more contagious. Keeping yourself safe and not spreading it around is good for everyone. Governments can not be trusted to help us or keep us safe. We can only follow the time honored practice of isolation that has been used for many years in the face of disease.

Should I mention the 3 gun shops local to me had a line out the store, across the parking lot and down the road until they were forced to close. I’m already ready...

Just what we need, more panicky untrained irresponsible idiots with guns. Those of us with years of training and responsible gun use will get tarred with the same brush for any 'incidents'.
On the other hand Walmart did have some groceries in stock. Quantities were limited and so was the selection but I found most of the things I needed. Some substitutions were required. People seemed to be keeping their distance and behaving. I didn't notice any price gouging.

The Outer Banks is closed to outsiders (excepting deliveries(?) and following all the NC closings is basicly doing fine with no infections so far. Outside house owners are pissed, but they should have gotten here sooner. Let's face it, an island with no infections is a pretty good thing, and being an island, we do know how to help each other (mostly).

So basically you are marooned... Probably no pretty little things in grass skirts around I'd guess... (unless they are bobblehead figures shimmy shaking on yer dashboard)

People of all ages have been dying, just the older you get the higher the chance of dying. The mortality rate is higher than for the flu. In other words for every 100 cases of this virus more people die than for 100 cases of the flu. It is also highly contagious, not as bad as the measles though. It isn't anything to take lightly. I agree with Frankemch. I am 63, but not as much need here for caution, yet. However, most non-food related businesses are closed. Food is no issue in the villages. The malls are closed. Even the large mega businesses...Tesco/Lotus for example, is open for food only. Everything else roped off. The issue here is prevention. Thailand has not had a big case load, as it shutdown many flight and refused to dock ship early on. The issue here, in Bangkok? Eight or nine million people! The country only has 60 million+/-. Chiang Mai was a HUGE China tourist spot. Not allowed in. Import goods? No way! We cannot get parts or carbon fiber or some electronics. Luckily, Bangkok is big on making things here, so hopeful that production might soon increase. It may end up a boom for domestic production. Our outboard engine drive is in beta test mode. So is the engine. The outdrive housing and both drive shafts are stainless and carbon fiber, which we cannot find. (The SS is simply cut, but specific carbon tubes NOT) Engine can be run as is...but we are going EFI and need to make a few prototype parts. No shop open. Haha...I just made a tapered bronze bushing for my prop mount. (By hand) 14.5mm x 18.25 ID on prop x 60mm prop bore length....plus a 14mm threaded prop nut thread at the end. (+18mm stick out?) Try that with no lathe. Oh, and it has a roll pin/shear pin hole (Uhhh, no threads yet) I don't drink much, but surely no Corona.

Here in Delaware we have 104 known cases of infected people. Well as of this morning anyway. But we are a small state. Compared to our neighbor to the north (New Jersey) which has 3745. Luckily, we do not have any deaths yet. What I was surprised by is how many much larger states have lower numbers. We are in day 2 of "stay at home order" So I am hoping that staying at home starts to stop the rising number of cases the grow each day. What are the numbers in your area/state? And how many others are in the stay at home condition?

Just checked pa.gov and they list 1130 cases, 11 deaths and almost 90 cases in my county alone. I’m in Eastern PA. We also have the stay at home order. The roads are empty but everyone is out for walks, runs and bicycle rides. They want to stop unnecessary travel which puts a brick in going for a decent ride. When the rain stops I’ll still get out for one.

I just got summonsed for jury duty for the month of May. It's not legal to assemble in a group of more than 10. 12 jurors aside from anyone else present. I did some quick searches and apparently MD doesn't care about that, because there are currently jury trials in MD. Gotta love it when they plead for us to do one thing in every press conference, but they'll issue a warrant if you fail to appear for what is a banned activity. Do as I say, not as I do.
