i g00gled "cdc influenza deaths graph" and found that in 2020, flu deaths virtually disappeared. Influenza must have been on lock down too while rona was doing it's world tour in 2020. and now they say people are dying of rona and flu put together. was it not just flu all this time? i had Betainfluenza in 2012 and that was a nasty bug. i was out of work for a week running fevers for several days. i can see how if an influenza infection leads to pneumonia, you would pretty much have a severe acute respiratory problem. must not forget airborne molds and bacteria. my GF is a microbiology professor so she gave me some petri dishes with agar to do some air sampling at work. uncover the agar petri dish and i exposed it for 4 hours. closed it back up, put it in a ziploc bag and stuck it in my work locker for 3 weeks to incubate. you would be surprised to see the growths and colonies on the agar after 3 weeks. molds and bacteria sites. that's stuff that we are constantly breathing in. shining a LED maglite into the sky at night, you can see a ton of particles floating around in the air. gotta avoid getting pneumonia, which can be caused by viruses, bacteria, and molds. just like the treasure robbers that opened up the egyptian ruins that died. did they die by the curse or was from the mold that they were breathing in once they entered into the ruins. the same planes that they use for cloud seeding and geomodification, what's to stop them from being used to spray spores. if you can spray silver iodide to seed clouds, who can indubitably say that they are not spraying spores in the upper atmosphere. get it in the jet stream and it will go around the world easily. weaponizing pneumonia is quite genius. that is on the level of tectonic weapons. link--Conspiracy theorie Jimmy Carter Submarine causes Tsunamis wonder why the vid got pulled off of yootoob?

Basically the flu and colds were on hold last year. They are making up for lost time this year.

The masks helped eliminate the cold and flu last year. Masks help stop the spread of most disease.
The air anywhere is chock full of spores and bacteria. 4 hours of exposure is enough to overrun a petri dish with growth.

A friend of my mother's got COVID. Both vac, no booster. She called an ambulance roughly a week ago. They took her to the nearest hospital, which refused to let them bring her in and told them they'd have to go elsewhere. They then took her 30-40 miles away to the next closest hospital. They wouldn't take her either, but did agree to have a doctor come to the ambulance to check. Gave her a prescription of some sort and sent her home.
My mother called her today to see how she was doing and the lady sounded rough and said she didn't feel well at all so she urged her to at least call hospitals and see what they say. They ended up calling an ambulance and they found her oxygen levels to be between 67-70%. They took her to a hospital immediately and she was admitted.
Talked to a friend that I visit regularly and his co-worker (vac + boost) that he rides in a van with and works closely with now has COVID and has been throwing up for the last 3 days. So far my friend and the other people that worked with him feel OK. I told my friend I'm not coming over when he asked how I felt about getting together. No thanks. I've been back to more hermit-like actions after seeing how huge the spike is on the charts and am not trying to be around anyone that I don't have to again.
Got on facebook to look at marketplace for no real reason. A friend messaged me on there that he's home in quarantine for COVID right now. He says he wouldn't worry about it after experiencing it being vac + boost... after he tells me everything tastes horrible and he can't smell right. He thinks it'll come back because it did for his wife. I still don't know why people think they know what to expect if they get it.
There are more stories, but you get the idea. It was really slow around me out here in the corn fields on the slow moving shore of MD for most of the pandemic. All of the stories from people that I know were from the folks that refused vaccines and somewhat few and far between. Not anymore. There are more people that I know or that family is around that have got it in the last week or two than the entire rest of the pandemic.

Seems to be a similar situation here. It's way more wide spread than at anytime previously. They were saying 90,000 NHS workers were off with covid at the moment. And a third of the staff where my brother works are off isolating with symptoms at the too.I I've been so careful the last couple of years. But think it's a real possibility that everyone will get it at some point now.

The thing is this wave might blow over by February, if south africa and the UK are any indications. I told my family we need to go back into being really careful for the next few weeks. Austin just went back to stage five, which is the most restrictive. Of course they can’t enforce any regulations, our governor saw to that, so for me it’s no movies, no eating out, etc, etc.
I mean I can deal with omicron, but not with this level of infection. I’ll take my chances when it calms down a bit.

Oh, and real N95 masks are pretty easy to get now. Those make a world of difference.

They have even just brought in compulsory face mask wearing in secondary schools. Ages 10-16.

Welp, my 15 y/o tested positive last night, so I’m wondering if we all don’t get it here in a few days… going to be impossible to avoid the exposure.

Welp, my 15 y/o tested positive last night, so I’m wondering if we all don’t get it here in a few days… going to be impossible to avoid the exposure. A good friend of mine caught covid a few weeks ago, he was off from work self isolating. His wife who lives in the same house and slept in the same bed as him while he had covid never caught it. Ive heard similar storys a number of times, from other people, including a neighbour who lives opposite. its a strange virus is covid.
