10,500 Thats good enough for me I dont have the upgraded crank you do yet . So I kinda figured if I had to make a trade off going for Squish over Port timing would give me the higher torque from the compression but not the higher rpms .
I will get it going this weekend and see how she feels .

Thanks aerox Alot of people like this drive face 92.5 mm is basically stock size so that shows its not all about size but Ramp angles make a big difference

It spins up a lot faster without the drag from the fins.

What a day 1)Tried to lower the needle on the vino carb . The little spring broke that holds the needle in place so taht will be down till I get the spring.
2) On the Zuma I sanded down the head just another notch to .88 squish With just copper spraying the head . Well that is just too much in my area the premium gas is not quite good enough. I have some detonation going on . For those that have never heard that it sounds like a rattling can full of rocks or like the exhaust is rattling because its loose.
3)Last thing My spark plug cap lost the clip inside ,Well That I had a extra one for so that was a easy fix .

The upside to the zuma being at that low of squish is I do have 2 more gaskets one at .3 mm and .4 mm I currently am using the .2 mm spacer so I should fix the detonanation and raise my port timing up .
I will go to the .3 mm so I end up at about .98 squish

What’s the octane rating in your area? I’m running 93 octane from Costco and seems to be doing fine.

91 octane is what I threw in it . I even ran a gallon a half out into my car before putting it in my scooter to clear out the hose .
I Just sent you a private message about your stock carb to see if you have a spring for the needle in my vino . The Zuma and vino run the same part .

At least you know the limit of what will work now. It's no good if you have to run it on race fuel.

The price of free I got this Cylinder for helping out a Friend . I swapped on a cast iron malossi for him . I have a serious mettalic clanking rattling sound that increases as I rev it . it barely audible at idle. I mistook it for possible detonation But I have no evidence on my plug of detontation so My above post was wrong . I am not tearing it down today . My first guess is piston slap .
Just tracking down the sound I retraced all my steps on replacing both seals . Re Torqued everything down on the stator side and variator side both seals look goood nothing was out of spec for torque or extra wear

Piston slapping the cylinder wall?

very mettalic rattling sounding I have just had it idling any reving over idle 2000 rpms it gets progressively louder and faster I have maybe 15 minutes running time on this build . Did not even take it off the stand I will tear it off tommorrow or the next day and look for scuffing on the piston and cylinder.

I had the same thing going on with a cylinder oldgeek sent me. I sold the scoot shortly after and never quite figured out where the noise was coming from. I made a Youtube video trying to detail the sound, but the sound didn't really translate to video well. I still have the kit and all the accoutrements tucked away and plan on doing something with it sometime. I also have another set of Minarelli cases laying around... At any rate, I'll be interested to see what you learn. I never did figure out where to sound was coming from in my case, but it was an awful and very metallic banging sound. Found the video.

I believe I have found the culprit Only one malossi bearing is correct one is for the minarelli and one is for paiggio The minarelli is 14mm outer diameter and the piaggio is 13mm the extra wide bearing would work ok if it was 14mm. Minarelli is gold The piston had left and right play that it shouldnt have I will test fire it tomorrow night.
