I traded some cigars for a small machine shop to take about .4mm off of it with a lathe . To take that much off with out oversanding one corner would be hard to do right. I then cleaned it up the with some figure 8s with a piece of glass and then finished it with a scotch brite pad . Nice. I removed a bunch of material off a head before with sandpaper and a mirror, but I don't think it was that much material. Machine shop is much better than hours of sanding. You're a cigar guy ey? I love cigars. What kind did you trade? What do you smoke? I love the more "boutiquey" stuff like Tatuaje, Illusione, and stuff like Liga, Oliva and Fuente of course. Dark, full bodied maduro and some medium bodied stuff as well. Tatuaje! I have an original Tatuaje Black Jar with only 3 smoked.
But, my humidor is full of aged Cubans, clear Havanas and then some crazy stuff. A few years back I smoked a hundred year old cigar made of Cuban Tobacco and rolled in PA.
Here's my review of it...

Nice review on the Cigar Just makes you want to sit back with a scotch and taste away . My Step Father was the big cigar connoisseur so I would pick those up for him .
I have found I have a taste for full bodied flavors be it coffee ,beer ,liqour, cigars etc.

Here's my review of it... Wow! That’s awesome! 100 year old stick!? Looks like it aged well and was cared for too. Very nice. Glad you enjoyed it. And also wow! Original box of blacks?!?! That’s literally the exact cigar that got me into Tatuaje! What size? Didn’t they originally only come in Lancero? If you ever wanna sell or trade one, don’t hesitate to drop me a line... I’ve basically always desperately been searching for a Tatuaje Pork Tenderloin. I’ve heard that’s a great smoke, but man they’re hard to find. I don’t smoke a ton anymore like I used to, but when I do, I basically only smoke Tatuaje because I wanna make sure it’s a great cigar when I have one and Tat never disappoints.

From what I remember they are corona gordas. I just found out I'm going camping and desperately planning/preparing. Once I get back, I'll see if I can spare a few to send to you. Don't have tenderloins. I think I still have a box of OG monster series. Franks.

Have squish down to .97 while still maxing out transfers. I am using the paper base gasket that is .45 mm . Copper spray only on the Head . Took a warm up ride retorqued the cylinder head bolts they each had 1/8 turn to settle in. I have a slight exhaust leak that I need to track down . First impression Is the Athena is a notch snappier at .97 then 1.25 squish. It spins up quick .

What are your temps?
I’ve felt like it’s a fairly snappy cylinder too. It likes to rev.

I got it up to low 200's ran it for half mile . It does rev up quick . I test my scoots by what speed I hit a couple different mailboxes . This is quicker than my malossi build . I've got to track down where I am leaking from . Ive got to build another pressure tester . Running this Higher rpm set up closer to 10 k and a Aluminum Cylinder I have less margin for error on air leaks .

Found the exhaust leak the flange on the Yasuni R. It just isnt sealing .
Swapped on Stock exhaust it has been along time since I had a stock exhaust on the powerband starts so low compared to the expansion pipes . I just left the cvt the way it was set up for the expansion pipes . The clutch springs are a little stiff but they do provide could take off and good 0-30 speed The weights are probably a gram light ,So I left a lot of top end on the table .
Stock pipe with the Athena Hits 8700 Rpms and thats it . I am going to break it in with this and Just reset the weights and the clutch to this pipe to max it out . Temps are really good maxed out at 270 degrees after a quick 4 mile ride . I may be over Jetted for the stock pipe . I have the 84 teikei in with the needle at one clip rich. Top speed was at 45 mph .

My next move is to see if the Flange needs to be trued up on the Yasuni R. While I run a few tanks of gas through the Stock pipe .

You are being much easier on your bike for your break in than I ended up being on mine. I was having that issue with my rear pulley biding on the clutch, so I was cruising around at 30mph and 11,500rpm haha. I like your method much better. After 200-300 miles the cylinder really loosened up and started to come alive for me. I'm really happy with it. Glad everything is going smoothly for you so far. Nice job with everything. All your effort put forth helping everyone else has come back as good tuning juju for you.

Thanks Kenho It pays to be methodical on fixing these up on change at a time . The yasuni Pipe not sealing did not make sense . It sealed up perfect with the malossi kit So I grabbed the old pipe and it is tight fit . I could have grabbed the next r but I wanted to rule out a silencer leak.
I had run a leak down test just to make sure I did not find any other gremlins . 6 psi for 20 minutes held so that is just the exhaust.
