This is my Daily driver that I have hopped up so it is more fun to rip to and from work . It is 12 miles one way 6 miles full blast than a couple 1-2 mile wide open runs along the way so I have to go one notch richer to keep it cool .
Now if I was racing on 1 mile runs at a time It would have been fine . It was after a 5 miles that temps kept drifting up and would not find a consistent level temp . So if I would have kept running this jet and we got a humidity change or temp change I would run into trouble .

Finished up the tuning on the zuma . After richening up the needle had to readjust the idle mixture leaner. So I could good snappy throttle response .
19 mm dellorto stock airbox snorkle in 82 main W7 Needle position 3 2nd richest 40 pilot 1 1/4 turns out on mixture screw.
I bought a all in one throttle tube and throttle cable package for the zuma . It had a throttle stop . After adjusting the best I could It just had annoying amount of extra throw . I could have ordered longer adaptors bit they would have taken a week or so I decided to order a motion pro 01-0087 throttle sleeve off amazon prime 2 days . After dialing in the slack on the throttle It was just what i was looking for.

I didn't get to do any tuning, but did have a good weekend at the campground. Sounds like you got it dialed in and ready! Hopefully I'll get some wrenching in next weekend...this weekend was all about good eating 😊😊😊

So this is where we come to play?! Just kidding... but again thank you for all of your helpful info... waiting for those jets to come in as I felt the stock 40 was not enough... felt like I was running lean but I need to do a leak down test as well... off to the hardware store to get the parts to make it... also might take out the head gasket and just copper coat spray it to get a smaller squish

Well I have shelved the tecnigas silent pro . Its a good pipe . The Loud and Proud Yasuni R had waited long enough . The 82 jet worked well peaked at 335 degrees after a 5 mile run . I left the clutch springs at yellow in the delta clutch at stiffest The Yasuni was still snappy with these I needed the red clutch springs for the next r to give snappy take off .

Here is my up to date upgraded set up . Athena sport kit set at .92 squish copper spay only for head gasket Yasuni R exhaust Athena 14 /42 gears for a 11 to 1 final gear ratio Malossi Variator 5.5 gram weights Top performnace torque driver for a budget overrange set up polini bws 100 belt Malossi delta clutch white contra malossi spring seat yellow clutch springs at stiffest clutch setting race weights Michelin Boppers Stage 6 Dellorto 19 mm carb 82 main w7 needle position 3 40 pilot 1 1/4 turns out motion pro throttle tube . Yamaha C3 mirrors
She peaks at about 10,200 rpms 54-56 mph variator shifts around 9000-9100 rpms Clutch engages above 5500 rpms Temps peak 335 degrees
As far as how much I spent I am definetely in dont tell the wife Land
Other than some cosmetic stuff I just might be done for now . In the future I probably swap the crank and put on a mid race set up . The wish list would be Yasuni C16 and Athena Race which is the old Stage 6 MK1 All the rest of the parts I have support that move to mid race .
I am starting to collect the upgrades for the vinos I already have kitted and piped them I have a dellorto 17.5 carb for one of them . Just have to get another carb and slap some gears in them .

Sure wish I could get the time you get to work on the scoot!!!! Nice to see you got it all done and dialed in. I’ve already seen a few projects on the list for the weekend, but hopefully I can squeeze in some tuning time.

I just wait for rainy days to do the major stuff. Most of it I have done over the last year and a half . Most of the vino work I will probably do when I am snowed in.
The tuning of the carb and cvt goes faster when you have done it a few times . You know what feels right .
Laydback You got the most bang for your buck stuff out of the way . Just take your time enjoy the changes as you build it up slowly .

No ninja tuck or anything where my face is within 6 inches of the speedomter . I just lean forward .
The street pipes malossi wild lion and tecnigas silent pro are nice But the Yasuni R is more powerful.
Closest thing to a dyno that I have . I have a hill by me that I ride up every day wide open . The only pipe I can climb up it with the needle buried is the Yasuni R . The street pipes and Next R all drop speed on the way up.

A crank, mid race or race kit paired with a lightswitch pipe sounds like a pretty cool wishlist. I still need to get the few things buttoned up and then ill post a vid. The MotionPro cable I was using snapped, how has yours held up and how do you have it set up? I have a NCY bearing throttle and an cable for elite/dio that im putting on today as I was still using the stock twist with no stopper! (very dangerous) The bearing throttle and 35 length dio cable has been sitting in my parts box since i started the build knowing i had to do something switching over to a PWK, was just too tempted to ride and use what had (kinda) worked, i contribute my laziness and no time to ride as a factor as well

That all in one throttle tube set up Throttle stop still let the throttle rollover once in a wile so I replaced with a motion pro throttle tube . I have had good luck with the motion pro stuff in the past . Some guys just use one of the stock zuma cables and build a throttle stop into the handle bar switches with a screw you should be able to put a stop on like this in the elite.

Electric starter delete I did this a couple weeks back The engine spins up a little faster with the extra weight off the crank . So I did find I am running 6 grams on the variator for the same shift point E-start 5.5 grams was 9100 rpms when I hit the throttle 6 grams was 8800 rpms After Delete 5.5 grams hit 9400 rpms and 6 grams hit 9200 rpms I did have to shim it for taking out Starter clutch I used the Malossi shim that came with the variator on the backside where the starter clutch was I used 2.5 mm total 2.5 to 3 mm would have worked you could use a 1/2 inch washer from a hardware store to space it out . I just measured the starter clutch like this malossi 2 mm shim
