I decided I want to ride the Dio between when I get my new panels and now. So I partially assembled the scooter, just a few things left out. I'm using the old busted up panels for now, I actually kind of dig the look. Rat-rod Dio baby! I initally assembled the bike with the PG short pipe. BIG mistake. Not only did the bike perform poorly but it sounded like a farting pit bike. I can't recommend the PG Short to anybody. I slapped the Arrow on there and BAM I was wheeling and laughing my butt off down the street. Big ol' two-stroke smile. Two thumbs up for the Arrow. Awesome pipe. I am still having one issue. Every single bulb on the Dio is standard except the headlight. I got LED replacements for everything but the headlight bulb. I'm not sure what the bulb equates too now. I looked up the Honda part number and it's not a bulb I've seen before, however it looks somewhat like power equipment bulbs. Does anyone know where I can get a nice LED headlight bulb? Or maybe a way to convert it to modern LED headlights? I did some digging on Yahoo! Auctions Japan and found this But this is an HID conversion which I want to avoid.

I did some digging on their website and didn't find anything. What do you recommend? Also are you familiar with the KN Planning line of products? I want to use some aftermarket 10mm legs on my Dio but I don't know which ones to use.

I believe I qualify for the unluckiest accident on this website. sadly the Dio wrecked today, the very first day and first ride on the carbon panels. A buddy of mine was riding it and skidded out around a corner. Hes not sure how it happened, but I think he may have panicked and locked up the front brake. Hes unscathed outside some scrapes fortunatly. We walked over to the side of the road and stopped to take stock of the situation. Turns out where we stopped was directly on top of a burrowing nest of wasps. The three of us in the group each got stung at least 10 times each. Sadly a side panel was trashed and the Arrow pipe was badly dented and marked. Fortunatly we all walked away relativly unharmed. Wear your gear! Not only to save from road rash but also from bees.

I broke down the panels on the dio today, took everything apart. Im in a local scooter club and turns out my chapter president had an unused Arrow Dio pipe! He wanted some parts in exchange. I ended up trading him my new PG short, my naked bar setup from the Roughhouse, some new grips and new Polini bar ends. He has a serious collection of parts and scooters, easily 10+. His business partner even owns a mint Honda G Dash, the very rare racing variation of the Dio in Japan. Enough nerding out on the scoots, lets talk update. I mounted up the Arrow. Looks great. I sold my damaged Arrow for $150 the same day. Sadly the side panel may be gonzo. The road rash broke through to the weave in the carbon fabric. Once that becomes disrupted you are thouroughly screwed. So my options are to sand the crap out of the panel and laminate a new layer of carbon over the existing layer or use something to hide the blemish. Im thinking about using some custom colored Dio decals to cover the blemish. Im not sure what ill do yet.
