they said the spare engine was out of time but when I check the valves they where so tight I couldn't get any of the filler gauges in at all thats the most common problem on them. the dealers do not do an initial valve adj before selling and the factory just puts the rocker arm assembly on with no gap.

I took her out today and seem to be a little tick coming from the CVT I did check the oil
I don't know if it just me seem like a little drag I know it has a restrictor or governor also when I get up to top speed not for sure how fast that is due speedo cable broke but it seems to bog down and up

I got a question if the valves are not to spec's will that cause power loss This engine doesn't have half the power my other one did they said the other one was bigger but the engines are the same unless it has a bigger piston right? I am just trying to figure out how to get the power up with-out a bbk which I plan on adding later on

It can cause some power loss if the valves are not adjusted correct. It's also possible one motor had a factory big bore. We've seen 39mm (what they're supposed to be), 44mm, and 47mm bores come stock on these. If you had one of the larger bores before, you should definitely notice a drop in performance with a 39mm.

I don't think the engine is broke in it seems to gain more power every time I take it out
I am not sure how to break an engine in right

I just run 'em as I normally would, other than varying throttle a lot initially. Everyone has their own opinions on break-in.

yes thats your no start problem and no it goes to the fuel petcock which might be tank mounted not to the tank itself. if its not tank mounted its on the frame rail

some bikes have an EGR system. in that case there are 2 ports on the intake. one goes to the petcock. as long as the one to the petcock is hooked up on both ends, the other port can be capped off.
