How is the forecast for your trip? It’s off and on showers. Usually only few minutes and then clears up. That is except for today.. the roads were wet heading out through the Foothills to Deals gap and the sky opened up and Ken and I got throughly soaked. From there back is over an hour with the slick roads. I was boarderline hypothermic, it was bad.I’d add some pictures but cell service is not in my favor.

So Ive made it back home to PA. It was a pretty good time at the event but I’ll. E honest it was more hype then what it turned out to be. Yes there was a crap load of Rucks and Groms in the area but the events were sort of subpar. In their defense Friday’s weather when we went was lousy but it was still a good time. Friday hit the tail on the scoots in the rain and the roads were clear for obvious reasons. Got off track on the way back but still managed to cover the 60 miles on a tank of fuel. The biggest issue for me was the altitude.. I set the scoot up to run pretty good here at sea level. At max I think we were at just under 2000 feet. The Zuma was not happy at all. The ride back in the rain I was sucking in water, the next day the filter was still wet. Friday was track day and I let everyone down. The Zuma had a lot of attention over the weekend and at the track but unfortunately isn’t efi like the Groms.. There are some pretty fast bikes. It may help that most of the sponsors were the ones running but I feel like a failure 😞. They put me in the “swapped” class and was up against a 500. Maybe with tune time at that altitude I could of done better but I had some good launches Brent would be proud of. I still manages 72mph in the 1/8 and 83 at some other point over the weekend. Saturday I spent the day on the MT and put some good mileage on it. Saw a few wrecks on the tail but weather was great and could get some decent runs in. Ken did killer keeping up with the flow on his 125 Zuma, very impressed. The landscape is nothing like I’ve seen before. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’ll be returning just to experience it again. I’ll add some pics and video soon.

Sorry to hear that the tune was off and the weather wasn't always great, but I'm glad to hear that you got to drag race and check out the dragon as well as meeting Kenho21. Did you happen to meet tydeancustoms or any other members? I thought one thing that I read said only up to 400cc. What was the 500 engine? I'll keep an eye out for H2 or Hayabusa engines and turbo kits so you can get revenge with the MetRuck next year.

Not sure what the engine was but when was getting situated someone said it was a 500, bs or not it was quick. There were many swaps but no one wanted to run them. Technically I should of been in the big bore class and that would of been more fun. Next time might be some nitrous so no altitude adjustments are needed..

Thanks for the pics and video. Beautiful place. You even spotted a Nitro-Kenho at the pump!
It looks like the race with the Grom would have been close, other than launch. How did Ken do? Looks like no timeslips. Was there a winner of each class or you just kept lining up with your class till you got tired of running?

Now I have to show up next year to race that blue Zuma and assert my dominance in the neon yellow wheel class.

Doesn’t look like any/many Vento cpi Keeways there. 10’s of bikes instead of thousands but still looks like a good gathering and a good crowd. No curb stomping or anything?

There were a few Chuckus there but don’t recall any CPI, Ventos.. There was a Kymco at my building but only one other bugeye like mine, but was in a truck due to tuning issues. Don’t get me wrong there were a lot of bikes there but never all at one place at the same time. Many, many large groups riding or parked or what have you. They did dominate the area for a few days.

It was just fun runs for the first half then they pulled numbers for the classes. It it didn’t load up with fuel it would of done ok but I wasn’t thinking about the altitude when packing. I’ll check belt wear and see how it’s doing soon. Ken didn’t run but otherwise the 125 did very well on those roads. If I was in the market for a runner that would be a strong choice. We were excited for the ethanol free fuel, never saw it before. The slips were incomplete, mine only had reaction and 60ft, .42r/t and 1.1sec.
