I came across this on Facebook and wanted to share and see if anyone else would be interested in going. It’s in Tennessee at the Tail of The Dragon. It’s been on my list of go to places so why not make the 11 hour drive to go smoke some Groms and Rucks. Hopefully some of you can join. Just out of curiosity, because Iam not living in America and Iam not familiar with gas prices over there.
An 11hr drive in Europe would be something like 1100km's, or just shy of 700 miles.
With EU gas prices around 6,5 dollar per gallon (did some calculations)...
How much does a gallon of gas cost over there?

This morning it’s $2.80/gallon.
For me it would be $260 in gas for a round trip in my truck that’s figuring 1104 miles at 12 miles per gallon at $2.80

Once you head south the prices drop even more. My local area I’m seeing $2.68 for regular.

I paid $2.06 a gallon for regular yesterday. It's cheaper in the south.

If COVID is a bit more under control, maybe a couple of us will make the trip to ride and shoot the breeze with people. We won't display though as vendors of ours will already be there.

Petrol prices near me are average £1.18 a litre! About $5.31 a gallon. Liquid gold. 😉

Im in Kentucky, so its maybe a 3-4 hour drive. Definitely doable. Dunno if id rent a room or not, but id love to come down and do some racing and riding. Maybe bring our little 50s and do some wheelies. Next one i really wanna make is the October rideout in Vegas

Yeah still not allowed over the border with it still closed to non-essential travel. But would be interested.
Fuel here in my neck o'the woods range from $1.00-1.25/L depending on time of day and which city/town I'm in.
