How keen are you on having the wheel match? Kymco wheels come 12" with 12mm axle and use the same rotor bolt pattern as the aerox wheels. Maybe small enough to clear a fender?

The fender will fit the 10” and 12’s just fine. I think all the wheel options will have some inconvenience making them work. I’ve got a rotor ordered for the Zuma wheels and it was cheap enough. Those seem the easiest to fit and center. The black are the same pattern as Aerox and I’ve got rotors for those, they are also the same pattern as most the clones out there. While waiting on that rotor I’ll try to straighten the bent wheel.

How much of a difference does the frame brace make?

I’ve got one on the Zuma and notice flex while braking without it. This is bolted together from two halves so couldn’t hurt to add some strength.

I suppose it’s time I add some updates here. Aerox wheels are shimmed and I had to mill down the rotor mount to get everything centered and looking pretty. Grom fender fits fine with some little brackets and some heat to persuade proper alignment. Originally I was going to use the Athena Evo in here but that has changed. The new intention is to have something that can hopefully keep the wheel down and see what the potential of the RC one is. I did get a few mile test ride with the Evo before I tore it apart again and swapped in the RC from the Zuma. I probably should’ve just swapped that in and mocked things up since some rework was needed on some items. The carb sits higher on the RC so the first under seat tank wasn’t the best option so I made another that I like a little better anyway. Thicker material, internal baffle, front fill and rear supply. I went cheap with painting the rear frame and just used plasti dip, not sure that was the best idea but at least it recoats easily. A simple wire harness was made up with just the necessities. I haven’t checked current draw but should be similar to the Zuma minus one head lamp.. Red seat cover is gone and grippy seat cover has taken its place. The side skirts have been wrapped with carbon looking vinyl. I had to make some little brackets here and there to mount the Metro floor pieces since some pieces are no longer being used. I found some FB posts about a mysterious Polini belt that fit better than the Malossi belt. After a bit of searching I found it’s 248.037.2 Not that better use of the TD is necessary but this is the belt to go with. I’m going to be changing out the variator for a Polini after seeing some videos claiming some nice gains. Those changes and the addition of a 8.1 pipe should make for a fun scoot. I should have it down on the ground soon. A little note about the Trail Tech Vapor gauges. The new one I got wasn’t reading the temperature correctly so I left it installed while waiting on a replacement. When I went for a test ride it died on me and couldn’t get it restarted so I did the walk of shame or rather coast down hill to my place. This was with the Evo so I didn’t bother to t/s it and just swapped the RC in. When I went to start the RC it would sputter but not start, same as the Evo was doing. Only thing in common was the coil. Figured I’ll swap that out to start when I decided to remove the rpm signal wire from the coil first. What do you know the Trail Tech was killing spark from that signal wire. The new one is installed in the same manner and works 100%. Anyway something I figured I’d pass along. Incoming pics…

That looks sooo much better for controlling the takeoff with the long wheelbase and a lot lower center of mass. This appears to be the right plan. I've talked about potentially lowering and stretching T2, but I don't think it would ever get a seat height like that and I would think it would have been tough on the Zuma too without the frame dragging the ground. I can only imagine how much difference it must make moving rider weight down 8-10".
The only things that look like they may be negatives with the MetRuck setup are the placement of the seat and bars relative to each other. Maybe it's just my perception of pics, but it looks like you could get yourself closer to the front on the Zuma. I'm sure you could fix that if you ever felt it necessary to be a better drag bike... or maybe this will work out better to put more weight over the rear for traction? It also seems like the bars may be higher relative to the seat than more typical scoots. Not sure how much that matters though. It's not like scoots are leaning us forward to put much weight on the bars anyway. Maybe the bright side there is that it should be easier to tuck yourself in behind the fairing for better aero.
It's a really nice looking scoot and I can't wait to check it out in person and see how bad you leave me. I'm itching to know what your new 60ft times will be. I'm surprised you didn't mention that new fire suppression system onboard. Safety 1st! 😁

The pictures are hard to judge its proportions, it’s basically a glorified minibike. The bars aren’t too much higher then knee height and the foot peg position lets you get on the front of the seat and get weight to the front. You’ll see it soon enough to judge for yourself. That’s not for fire suppression, it’s to add fire to the party. It got a test with the Evo and is too much fun. More on that when I get it on the ground and can get some better pictures. This would’ve been a lot easier to make clean without the addition of that not mentioned addition. All the solenoids, fuel pump, lines, filter and battery are all hiding under that cover. It’s fairly clean but if you look under it there’s a lot going on. Maybe OCMD it can be hidden with a hoodie or bag tossed over it.

Maybe OCMD it can be hidden with a hoodie or bag tossed over it. Red powder coat and one of these? www.firesupplydepot.com/abc-hose-extinguisher-instruction-label-bl200.htmlA backpack that looks like it's strapped to the frame support bar? Just offering fun ideas for imagination's sake of course. It would be wrong to use that stuff anywhere other than a track. Who would want to surprise muscle cars or God forbid bring something like that to Bikefest and smoke Harleys.

I think I need that sticker!! I did pick up a smaller backpack for this since I have no storage whatsoever now. I wouldn’t want to exceed the 30mph posted speed limit there but some red light purging might be interesting.

I finally got some time inbetween other projects to get some testing done. No spray in these runs but same motor is a different frame makes a huge difference. Obviously the street isn’t prepped so I’m spinning a good bit on launch but I can go right to full throttle without having the front come up. Not too bad for what was trash at one point. youtu.be/J0j8BB6kI2o
