I found them all on powder coating sites, so I assume so.

Hopefully this will give me enough range. Between the OEM floor mounted tank and this I should have about 3.5 gallons. I’ve got to finish it up this weekend to pressure test it and clean up the frame for some paint. Slowly moving along.

I’m about ready to get back working on this guy. I don’t even know where I left off or what I need but I did get some wheels coated. I’ll start cracking the whip after the holiday.

Got back working on this again and figured out what I’m missing. I really thought I had another week to work on this but I had the event date wrong in my head. Realistically it’s likely not going to be ready in time but I’m going to still try. I just need to skip the painting. This was just a pile of parts a few hours ago.
Swapped my caliper mount parts out for some shoes, cleaned up some more tabs and got the tank mounted up. I was hoping to find a decent radiator but never did so I’ll just use the old one from the Zuma in the meantime. I just need to make a shock mount, throw some weld on the bar mount, wire harness and a location for a battery.

Sooo close but not quite there. Actually I kind of just lost steam from a sinus infection. I decided it’s better to back up and not rush this and make sure I don’t miss anything. There have been a few setbacks also, nothing major just not enough time to tend to in the short timeframe. Don’t worry it’ll make an appearance at a show this year. I’ll keep my word on that.
In the meantime the extra space in my truck will get filled with one of the other bikes. Probably the MT but Yamasaki might win. I’ll flip a coin.

I’m the meantime checkout a squirrel eating corn..

I'm sorry to hear that the MetRuck won't get out to play, but the Zuma is one hell of a backup scoot.

I can start working on the TaoTao now so you can grab it on your way down if you just want something "different" to ride there. Ever watch British Top Gear where they had the Morris Marina backup car that everyone would do anything to avoid having to use? The TaoTao is going to turn into that.

Wow I didn’t realize how long this thing has been sitting. After nearly 2 years it’s back under the knife. First off I redid the engine mount so I can use an OEM hanger for vibration dampening. Bars and stem are getting swapped out for some shiny machined bits, a Grom fender will be going in place of the stock one as it’s too narrow. I welded a new cap on the tank since that was the cheaper option to get it to seal. Good thing old gas doesn’t burn.
Now to decide on wheels so I can have some decent brakes. The problem here is the Aerox wheels I have fit fine except I can’t run a front fender and it sits a bit tall for my liking, those black wheels I’d love to run but the front is bent and are useless unless I can get it straightened and I won’t have a back break if using Zuma cases. Now I have my stock Zuma wheels on there now and I actually like the way it looks with those, I’m just having a hard time locating a 220mm disc for them. I may of found something that will work I’ll just have to wait and see what shows up.
I’ll have to find hiding spots for fuel and water pumps, battery and any other additions it may receive.
