Jkenney can you measure the malossi variator diameter for the Buddy . And verify the the stock diameter for the stock variator and drive face . If you have a way to measure ramp angles If you could take pictures with them side by side it would be very helpful.
I am trying to up size belts .

I’ll be the start was a crack at the top of the conrod. Then it just preceeded to mutilate anything in its path.

I’ll be the start was a crack at the top of the conrod. Then it just preceeded to mutilate anything in its path. That would be what I am observing from the carnage. It looks like there was a hairline crack in the conrod before it shit the bed. The conrod fragment still on the piston has tell tale signs of oxidation in the crack. The outer areas or the crack are darker than the fresh snapped center piece.

Higher primary compression and it's rated to 14,000RPM. I don't know what kind of RPM you're pushing but it could be worth the upgrade

I bet I can source a used buddy motor locally, you'd have to pay to have it shipped, want me to put out that I need a running buddy motor? I have a lot of local connections through my scooter club.
