Hello! Got my hands on a 2002 Malaguti Phantom F12 to work on from my buddy. My other bike the Yamaha vino was suppose to be for my wife but.....now it has a race setup and would flip her over 😂. This is what we are working with! Body is an excellent shape, motor is mint, and not much needed to get it going. I can’t keep things stock so let’s get started! The plastics I got sent off to get repainted. The frame I cleaned up and re added the factory radiators. Added my old cylinder which is a s6 street race 70cc. The exhaust I’m planning on a TT. The cvt setup will be all Polini, and handle bars will be STR8 downhill. I’m going for a very clean setup. A mild but fun build for the wife. iverall I’m happy with the project!

Nice bike! So now you got everything apart, can you spot any differences between this motor and any regular LC minarelli horizontal? Some webshops list Malaguti minarelli motor parts seperatly from your regular LC minarelli'd bikes like the aprilia SR, Aerox and so on. Really curious.

We've had a few LC Malagutis in house here over the years (one of our guys still owns a Foggy Edition F12), and in our experience they are bog standard Italian LC Minarelli engines. A good thing indeed. Matt

Really curious. these cases are thicker and original minarelli original. Aerox and all those parts will fit. My vino isn’t like Teague at but most parts fit except for a few items. This bike the lc and ac versions are the same. Just different body parts and gauges for the water temp.

You can wire in your own if you wanted to change it but they arnt your traditional cdi from other bikes.

Nice little project. They are a good looking bike. And the mina engine makes for great parts availability.

I really like the Malaguti f12 yours looks to be in great condition! I had one a few years back, air cooled version. I did fair bit of tidying to it be for I released it back in to to the wild. they are really rare here. I’m always on the look out for the f15 nothing ever crops up tho
