Think I can fit a 2.75 dirt bike tire on a 3.5 Zuma rim?

I was told it was very easy to do, just need a ratchet strap, and some soapy water. On the way

Put the head on, milled .5, and now I have 1.5mm squish.
That should be good right?
Another thing I've been thinking about is the heat shroud. I've seen a ton of scoots overseas without them. Same way a normal air cooled motor would be. Since this isin't closed in with plastic it should be ok without them. Not for a daily driver sitting at a stop light but from my perspective a lot more air is going to be going through those fins when its launching off the doubles than it is on the street.
Thoughts?

That's fine as far as clearance as long as compression figures are coming out right.
I'd only ditch the shroud for a drag racer, but that's just me. I've seen mine get HOT on a quick test ride before. Maybe sometime when I'm about done with a cylinder I'll try it with a CHT and get some numbers.

i wouldnt ditch the shroud on a forced air cooled engine think about it this way would yamaha spend the money on that part if it wasnt needed heck the cheap clone bikes still put it on unless you run no belly pan at all you wont even come close to getting enough air flow to cool it plus the fins arent right for standered air cooled

I dont think it would stay cool enough J?. Mine got hot after one pass without forced cooling. However it did stay cool at a steady 30-35MPH. Skeedr,s engine is a little more lets say "tight" tho.

Thanks Rob, I was a little buzzed last night (beer 30) and I got to thinking about every other air cooled engine in my life other than scooters and started thinking why not. However a quick google search ended that idea, along with the help here. I do have a few shrouds here and I think Ill try my hand at maybe something custom... we'll see.

That's fine as far as clearance as long as compression figures are coming out right. Let me get this thing all bolted up and Ill do a compression reading, should be good to go. *For the record I know most of this stuff but coming to you guys for a second opinion, since I never put this sort of tune on a 2t before, is a great burden off of my nerves. Thanks
