Got my tires in today... this is going to be rough.
In fact its back to the drawing board, no way these are fitting on Zuma rims.

Darn I never knew you already tried this out, cool.
Im putting the tire and wheel hunt on hold until I can sort out all the bugs. Building a Zuma out of a box with spare parts is harder than I thought it would be. PITA!

I dunno if I ever said it in that thread, but here's a good spot to get those wheels/tires cheap... www.pccmotor.com/wheel.htmlA ground up build is fun, but ends up more expensive and time consuming than you usually forsee.

Yea trying to sort out the little parts is the biggest problems. Need to figure out if I want to strip it down for offroad only or run head and tail lights for the trip down to the trails....I suppose I could just wire it up myself... Sigh... This build is proving to be more challenging than I expected.
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

Turns out the Zuma rim is much wider than 3" more like 4 1/4"
This project is now on the back burner until I can get some parts in.

such is the problems with ground up builds, its always the small parts that take the longest to source. Keep on though this shows some promise

That's likely why those other guys are hanging dirt bike forks on the front. I take back what I said about pit bike forks.......... they seem to be rusting here just sitting....... armed with that list I linked you to you should be able to find something!

I know its not much but the dirtbike is expensive. Waiting to find one at auction.
