I don't think I'd trade 2 scoots + cash for one unless it was something really special. The r50x is nice, but not worth 2 scoots + cash IMO. I think it's a Morini engine? Nothing wrong with it, it'll still run strong. Parts just aren't as easy to come by for it. It really comes down to what you like though and what you'd rather have. If nothing else, I'd negotiate the cash outta the deal.

I completely agree with 90 on this .... and I agree as well. Might do it for a w/c Minarelli like in a Malagutti or a w/c Super Nine (05 last year here).

If you're talking about the comparative qualities of Vento vs. that of TGB I would say the quality is pretty even.

Like step said, quality should be fairly close.
Vento is a Chinese scoot. They were assembled in the USA and then Mexico at one point and they had a little different business style. Now I think Vento is just another badge stuck on them like all the rest and you can't seem to contact the company or get parts from them like you used to.

I would swap two of anything for that TGB. DISC BRAKE AT THE REAR!! HELLO!! But, as I have already admitted on these pages, I'm a disc brake whore and I just can't help myself.

Well...if that Triton has discs at the rear, keep it then because I'm really a Vento fan after all.

ya im liking the vento alot to. its just really slow right now im gunna find the cdi see if its dc or ac and swap out the cdi coi spark plug and put the kevlar belt since its maxing at 31-32 mph im assuming it has the little washer and the cdi stops it from going over 6500 rpms. i still havnt heard back from the guy about the trade yet heres the tgb hes selling it looks real mint lasvegas.craigslist.org/mcy/2695174957.htmlthe other thing about the vento is its real high off the ground i keep feeling like its gunna slip out from under me when i turn cuz im so high off the ground if i end up keeping this thing how hard would it be to lower it? or if i changed the tires from 12/70/130 to 12/60/130. that would lower it right?

If it's topping at 6500RPM, it's probably got a rev limited CDI. I'd start out by replacing that and see how you feel about it then. You can get CDIs super cheap on eBay and from some of our sponsors (see banners on the main page). Beyond that, a big bore kit and the associated carb and CVT tune up would probably have you pretty pleased with it. The low profile tires won't do much. A shorter shock will lower the rear. You can cut the springs in the front forks or sorta relocate them as shown below... 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suspension&action=display&thread=37849ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suspension&action=display&thread=420 One thing I will note with lowering is to try and still keep the back higher than the front. The handling on a scoot doesn't feel as good (to me anyway) with the scoot leveled out. I think the slant helps to put more weight on the front (which is really light on a scoot).

The good thing about the TGB w/Morini is it has a similar air intake to the Mina so you can go with just about any carb you might want...there are more parts available for TGB than my Hyosung...
