2008 Chuanl LB50QT-6 580 miles 72cc bbk, perf. cam, tzr50 cdi, orange coil, irridium plug, #88 main, open air filter and p&p exhaust. It had a full quart of Amsoil 10W40 Synthetic and a new battery in the box under the seat plus the original MCO. It has LED rear turn signals too. Owner had the work done by someone who left the cooling shrouds off as you see in the photo. The 235 lbs owner picked it up right after the work was done, rode it WOT for a short distance before it lost power and shut off. it now has about 40psi compression. Owner says the person who did the work has disappeared. I hope everyone had a good weekend!

good deal love yellow scoots!
you got a chance to open the top end yet find any sort of damage, I'd guess maybe overheated hole in piston or the rings are shot. who knows but good find.
after I fix my blown engine I might try find a project trouble is few and far between with good deals here in the UK.

I suspect rings. he said it lost power then shut off and never started again. it has good spark and is getting fuel but has about 40psi compression.

probably going to take the cam, exhaust, plug and coil and put them on Midnight (my TMEC 82cc QT-3) then put this one back together with a new 50cc top end and sell it.

the original receipts were under the seat too. He paid 650 for the bike, 50 for a helmet, 111.25 for LED turn signals, 35w headlight bulb and some kind of led tail light or brake light, ive never seen one before. As for the engine work he said he paid 225 for all that. so he has about 1100 in it because it had a new battery under the seat too. He just called and wants his new quart of Amsoil back lol. I dont quite understand the thinking on that. Isnt that quart of oil now mine?

the bracket that holds the exhaust in place keeping it from putting too much stress on the header bolts is broken but i have another.

them brackets are damn crappy, I've had a few break on me now saw a post on scooterdawg of extending the mounting bracket with angle iron and adding extra brackets so that's set up I have right now its working great.
got three brackets on my mufflers right now I could add more but that's effort and most likely over kill. might even have been Brents post....

yep that's my normal mounting bracket mine has a thin metal rod running off it for my rear mudguard though... but I extended it and have three of them circle brackets spread along the full length of my muffler cause on that bracket they are both in the same place pretty much and I got end wobble which seemed to break them. touch wood with the extra bracket and them spread out nicely they are very tight and no breakage or loosening quick note they wont line up, I also bought that pipe hoping to get extra points to fix too and non of them lined up and the bar closer to the muffler (or where it will be) was right where my oil fill up is and I couldnt get the header the exhaust to my engine. so in the end I just cut both the extra bits off you may have better luck but dont bank on it I cant and dont weld , I guess you could heat bend and drill a new hole in the fixers to make it work, I just used what little options and skills I have and that was a hacksaw

welding skills are what will make it work for you, how much are them P&P exhaust in USA? I managed to scrap mine along a wall within the first week of buying it because it extends out away from the bike unlike my old one and now it looks old and battered
just a quick one which size carburattor you running on midnight?
