Alright maybe I'll pass on the water cooling. Sounds like a hassle, tbh. I remade the brake bracket. I had to move the speed sensor bracket lower to clear the caliper. Still waiting on my scootertuning.ca order for my fender and some other little knick knacks. Here's how she sits right now: I started her up for the first time in months. Kinda runs like poop. Idle is fine but it's missing a lot of it's power from when I last tuned it. I'm guessing it's because I swapped from the factory airbox to the pod filter. Anybody care to give me the cheat codes? I'm guessing since it's got more air, I'll need to up the jet and readjust the needle?

If you can run the factory box you’ll be better off. If not exactly what you said. Trial & error until you get it right.

Looks sweet as hell! And for sure the pod is going to take a fair bit of tuning. They’re just more finicky in the beginning.

Yeah I really wanted to keep the factory airbox. But since the carburetor had to rotate 120 degrees, I had to 86 it. I guess I'll be stuck retuning this dang thing.

Progress has been slow. New factory front fender came in. I have mixed feelings about it. The factory forks have a negative rake, placing the axle behind the fork. The new ruckus fork has zero rake. So the wheel isn't centered in the fender. I'm going to mull this over. Not sure what direction to go in next with this dang fender. Also relocated the rear plate. Just made a simple bracket.

Bike looking great 👍
Front fender doesn't look all that bad to me. Only a few people are ever going to question you, hey is that a stock fender on ruckus forks ?? I know you know the difference and it will probably drive you crazy 😆
Sleep on it and give it some thought and let the solution present itself.
Oh and again, that is a very clean build 👌

Oh and again, that is a very clean build 👌 I'm glad you like it! It was driving me nuts, though. I took a day or two to rethink my approach and I came back with another idea. Remade the brackets for the Aerox fitment. It works. So one of the underlying issues was that the brackets would rotate due to the one point of attachment. SO the right side fork has a notch in it. It's meant for the speed sensor on the inboard side. Since I'm not using a speed sensor, I just rotated the notch side to the outboard side and used it to stop the bracket from rotating. And the bracket I used 16ga sheet. I'm going to remake the bracket again tomorrow so that it looks a bit tidier. And then it's getting the powdercoat treatment.

That bracket is really well thought out. And it’ll look awesome powdercoated.

Here it is remade and powdercoated Honestly, I'm not sure why I went with satin black. Semi-gloss would've looked better. But it matches the other black plastics, I suppose. I took it for a spin yesterday and although the bottom of the scooter does rub on everything, it's not THAT bad. She's still slow as heck. Topped out at 38mph. I didn't run it long enough to check CHT though and I didn't have enough time to start playing with jets. That'll be another day. I'll snap some more photos when I have it all cleaned up. Also, the fender brackets. They flap in the wind. I had an idea to reinforce it by hemming an edge and folding it back over. But that would require buying hemming dies. I'm kinda over this fender for now. I'll just let it rub left to right for now.

Thanks for the info on the elite. I’ve been toying with the idea of putting stock Ruckus wheels on my Elite but I’m not sure of clearance, front and rear. Bought mine with only 110 miles on it and now it has about 2000. My Rucks tend to steal the spotlight too, but the Elite gets love from riders. So I've been putting off re-tuning the Zuma carb. In the meantime, I decided to start turning down some extra Elite wheels I have. I had bought a front wheel replacement wheel to test my sandblasting and powdercoating on. I was debating on reselling it on eBay but decided to take an axe to it. I'm waiting on a button insert turning tool so I can make that radius in the corner. This is because sharp corners create stress points. Round corners distribute the stress, like in a pressure vessel. Anyway, I'm waiting on a rear wheel to come in via eBay as well. I know this thread has sorta veered off topic but I'm just doing anything I can to procrastinate with the Zuma tuning. I don't wannnaaaaaaaaaa Edit- In case it wasn't obvious, I'm turning the Elite hubs down to a flat face so I can mark and drill out a 4x110 PCD (or whatever ruckus PCD's are) on it's face to accept aftermarket wheels.
