Im a bit lost. I had a zuma 5 years ago that had a top speed of 56-60 mph. The specs were:
- 70cc cast iron Malossi - stock carb - oversize stock air box (bws100) - leovince zx pipe - Malossi 2005 Overrange variator only (7.5grams) - Malossi delta clutch - 15/50 gear kit
Now I got another one that I want to have the same top speed without the need to be loud or removing the Electric starter.
The specs are:
- 70cc cast iron Malossi - 10mm Doppler crank - 19mm Dellorto carb (pilot: 40,main: 88) - oversize stock air box (bws100) - Technigas Silent Pro pipe - Malossi Multivar variator (7.5 grams) - 15/50 gear kit
I can’t go over 48mph with this setup. Any idea why? Thanks!

If you can pull taller gears that could get you a few mph too. Or a cylinder that revved out further. The stage 6 street race would so that would pick up several mph & still last a long time. I swapped from a top performance kit to the s6 & it was very noticeable. Gained 5-600 rpm. You also had an over range kit on the old one which was probably good for a few mph over just the variator.

So if I check the graph, the Yasuni R seems to have the best power. Do you think is a good pipe?

The yasuni r is a great pipe Better than the Leo vince and it pairs nicely with the malossi sport 70 cc

Yes it's a good pipe. I have had a couple. Has quite a wide power band for such high peak power.

The power band starts higher so be ready to go lighter on the weights and stiffer on clutch springs

Great choice! You're gonna love that Yasuni. Its made of thicker gauge sheet metal and a large quality silencer so its quieter than many other expansion chamber exhausts. It comes with two restrictors tho, one in the head pipe and one in the silencer. Make sure to remove those first. www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/yasuni-exhausts-how-to-derestrict

Got the pipe fitted along with the hardest clutch springs from motorforce (blue) and some 6 grams variator weights. Got about 1 mph more but i think i need to tune the carb a little more before playing with the weights. With a 45 pilot and a 95 main jet, it bugs at take-offs when hot and the power drop at about 3/4 of throttle. Im thinking a 92 or 90 main jet can solve my wot problem. For my take off problem maybe moving the needle a notch leaner or a 40 pilot but I have not been able to start it without carb cleaner with it before.

What year is the scoot? The 08+ has taller gearing than the earlier ones so with the same gear swap it would be a few mph faster.

Its a 2002. Like I said I have 15/50 on it so it should be able to go 50mph and over.

15/50 on an 02 will be slower than 15/50 on a 08. That’s what I was saying. So if your last one was an 08 it would be a little faster on top than this one with the same setup. I just sold my 05 with a s6 street race, Yasuni r, dell 17.5, 15/50, & malossi multivar. It did right at 55 on the flat. It had a top performance kit before & it was around 50 sitting up on the flat.

Okay sorry i didnt mention that both are 2002. I changed the gearing for that in the first place.
