The docs installed a catheter and drained off 3800cc (one gallon) of retained urine and installed a catheter bag to wear for a week, everything is bleeding now, both internally and externally. I can't find my dick... I was in great pain, now everything is sore. I can fasten my belt and zip up my pants again. I am glad I wear regular fit jeans and my legs are old and emaciated to make room for a full catheter bag.
Some of my doctors are crap...
The leg surgeries went fine. I hate the compression bandages I have to wear for a month.

That gallon of urine weighed about 8-1/2 pounds but It must have made passage of other things difficult due to the swelling. My weight has dropped 16 pounds. I am back down to where I should be at 215#. I am still sore and pissing blood, clots, etc, both internally and externally. I hope the urologist can figure out something Thursday. I feel better after the catheter but not decent (for my age) yet. I can see both of my ankles after RF ablation surgery on both legs. The swelling in my feet and lower legs was bad. Now if I could just get something else to swell on command I would be a happy wanker... LOL

To add insult to injury I ate something that crunched in some food the other day. Today when I took a dump I am bleeding out the ass. I must remember to spit out any mouthful of food that goes crunch. It probably was some glass, metal, or ceramic, something sharp. It is not the first time this has happened. It did not hurt terribly like last time so the cut is probably shallow.
On the bladder side I only pass an occasional tiny clot. The urologist wants me to continue wearing that catheter and bag for another three weeks and then shove a TV camera up there to see what is going on. My father had that done a few times so I guess I can stand it, not that I want to. The nurse also said that sometimes the bladder does not recover from being stretched out like that and they have to fit some sort of permanent drain. I am not to worried about that. I can already feel when my external bag is full due to internal back pressure. I am still having considerable pain and soreness in my abdomen.

I saw the Oncologist again last week. Since I am doing ok with the side effects of the meds they are going to change my infusion schedule from 200cc every 3 weeks to 600cc every six weeks. The one side effect that annoys me is the itching, it seems to be set off by things rubbing me like my hat or my shirt at the collar or my back. Its one of those itches that you cannot deny a scratch. It's hard being in public scratching my head or elsewhere, people look at you weird.
The financial aid for the meds is still good. I believe the drug maker and my insurance got together and decided which one of them was going to pay for the treatment, Insurance picked up the tab even though my rather high deductible has not yet been satisfied. So the letter from the drug manufacture was just to cover their ass saying that they were not paying for it.

My teeth are fine. I have had a few teeth explode in the past. They had to be made into crowns. I just had one of those old crowns replaced 2 weeks ago. The previous time I ate something that crunched it was the local anti-nuke people feeding defense plant workers glass in an attempt to kill them. This time it was something in a Marie Callender frozen meal.
I have also developed a persistent cough, getting worse, Covid maybe? Probably from that damn ER. Hospitals are like cesspools.
Have you told the doctors about the itching? Sometimes they can do something.
I hate all the mysterious paperwork from the doctors and insurance company. It makes up the single largest volume of mail I get and all of it is incomprehensible. This time of year it doubles with all the different Medicare plan advertisements.

Yeah I told him about the itching.. He told me to take Claritin because Benadryl would only add to my fatigue, which is also another side effect of the treatment. Problem is Claritin says on the box "do not take if you have chronic kidney disease" I mentioned that to him and he said "you can stop the treatment if you would like to" That kind of stuff kind of makes me weary of Doctors real intentions. It almost like they are pushing year long very expensive treatments like this to make $$. Don't get me wrong, I understand and appreciate the possible benefits associated with the treatment (like living) Lol But I also worry about further damage to my remaining damaged kidney. However if I die from cancer I wont be needing that kidney anyway so?.......

Doctors don't care, just like the one that looked at my bladder with a gallon of urine and ordered some Flomax.

This thread just hit home for me again. A very dear friend of mine has multiple cancers and likely has little time. I just talked to him on the phone 7 days ago and he seemed fine, he just sounded a little tired. He ended up at the doctors office and then the hospital 2 days after that with back pain that had been nagging him and what was first thought to be severe bronchitis.
I usually visit him every week and phone him in between visits, but he has been out of town at MUSC with his wife, she just had a double lung transplant 3 weeks ago. He fell ill setting up the house he rented near MUSC because she has to be near there for at least 3 months. I went down to see him today on very short notice, its a little over 2 hours away. I saw him in person about 2 weeks ago, today I could hardly recognize him. It can happen that fast
