Duke faculty sells a blue scooter 50cc ("Taotao 50") bought in Raleigh in august 2011, because I am leaving the US and cannot bring the scooter back home. It is in great external condition. It comes with a helmet and a pair of gloves. It was working fine even during winter, until recently for some reason it would not start anymore. I think there is a problem with the spark plug or the ignition system but I don't have the time and money to fix it so I am selling it AS IT IS. It is a great opportunity if you like mechanics (anyway, I think it would not be very expensive to have it fixed). I propose the price of 150$ but I will sell to the best offer.
Please email me if you are interested. I tried to get it for $100 without the helmet and gloves but it was a package deal. it turns over fast like it wants to start. I hope its not low compression. i will know here in about 30 mins.

i found a bonus already. that little trim piece that goes on the back under the tail light. There is one wedged in the motor between the plug wire and frame and the same little piece is in place on the bike as well! The seat bucket has never been off this thing.
